Respect my late checkout

Booked rooms for our elopement and the staff at check out made the process pretty fast. Breakfast is pretty sparse but they did have some hot and cold items so that was decent. The elevator went out the morning of our second night and didn’t come by for the rest of our stay, staff did offer to help with luggage at least. We did request a late checkout the night before and the staff let us know there would be a $30 fee, which was fine, but I guess he didn’t write it down because housekeeping was knocking at my door at 11 telling me to checkout. I had to call down to request another late checkout, which they gave me thankfully but definitely ruined my morning.

Room was very cold. Outside temp was down into 30. Room heater did not seem to be working. Called front desk. Girl came to our room but could not get heater to work. Told us no one would be able to fix it until Monday. It was Saturday night. Said she could not get us a different room because all rooms were full. All she could do was get us some extra blankets. No discount or refund. Airport shuttle was was busy and only had a couple of available times to get back to airport. Had to take a shuttle about 2 hours earlier than we needed because that was all they had left. Very disappointing stay.

When we arrived to our room the door was already opened and also at the middle of the night our room door was opened again, we called front desk and reported it, somebody came and tolds us that he checked the camera and he did not see anybody, so this situation is very unusual. Also we noticed food in one drawer that we think was from previous customer.

We got off from a cruise ship, we were at the hotel at 9h30, we asked if we could leave our luggage and was told no..we sat in the dirty lobby until 1h30..we asked for early check in and was told rooms were ready but check in was at 3h00..she then said we could have the rooms with a service charge of $30.00...i have never heard of this before....so we refused and she made us wait to 3h00.. When i got my room..they're was 1 empty bottle of coke on the floor, we only had 1 bath towel...the rooms/ hotel was filty..we didnt feel safe walking around the properties...garbage can was over flowing of garbage..still wasn't clean this morning.. I will never stay in that sketchy area again.. Best Western was a disappointment!! I will never ever give them another chance..
