Lives up to its' name, it's a Grand Hotel indeed.

Everything was excellent, I would rate it at 10 stars if your ratings went that high. It is a beautiful hotel decorated in a style of historical splendor. Real coffee cups and water glasses in the room were a very nice touch. Room was very clean and comfortable. My wife has celiac disease and appreciated the gluten free items available at breakfast. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Mount Vernon is a nice little town to visit, stay at the Grand when you do. You won't regret it.

This gorgeous, accommodating, and friendly boutique hotel surpassed all expectations. They upgraded us to a king suite with antique-style couches and 3 separate rooms. Rainfall shower was hot and lovely, followed by cosy terry robe and slippers. Breakfast was a cut above standard and included real china plates and mugs and real silverware. They even let my husband use their piano to keep his hands in shape. A stellar stay.

Overall, a very good stay. The only issue was the sound of what seemed like running water coming from the next room going all night long.
