I stayed here with my daughter for my birthday. The pool was nice and clean, the staff was very kind and helpful. The room was nice and cool, clean and spacious. I would definitely stay here again.

Easy and cozy

This was a great hotel.... I feel its a little pricey for a small town but it was clean and cozy. A little dated... but its an average hotel. My only complaint is not about the hotel.... people outside where smoking near our room and the AC was pulling the smell in. But thats not the hotel.

For the price and our needs, this hotel was adequate. Front desk employees were very friendly. The room was cool and smelled fresh, and you can tell efforts have been made to remodel/modernize/update the inside of rooms. The bathroom was very clean. Both bed mattresses were encased in plastic. When I pulled up one to check for bed bugs (which I do at every hotel we ever stay in), I did see some hair and a couple of finger(toe?)nails. (No bugs.) I asked the front desk for a shop vac to clean it up and they offered to switch us rooms, but I chose to just clean it. I do believe people were smoking inside rooms, as I smelled smoke randomly on the second floor. No elevator. Coffee and waffles at breakfast were good- otherwise, not the best hotel breakfast. All in all, no major issues and can’t complain too much when comparing the price to the much higher rates of surrounding hotels.

Pay the extra $25 and stay next door.

The property is quite dated and in need of maintenance. It's situated next to a closed restaurant, which contributes to a desolate, abandoned atmosphere. While you get what you pay for with this budget hotel, the damp and musty smell in the room made it uncomfortable and difficult to stay. Had I booked directly through the property, I would have likely requested a refund and opted for the nearby Holiday Inn Express, which was just a short walk away and only $25 more. Unfortunately, I won't be staying here again, and I’ll be reconsidering Wyndham properties in the future.

Fridge had defrosted. The person at the front desk came to the room and said housekeeping had turned it all thevway down. He cranked to coldest, but our drinks wete still warm in the morning. I couldn't figure out how to get the shower to turn on. It shouldn't be that complicated, or at least leave instructions for those of us who are technically challenged lol It seems they are doing their best in an older hotel.

First time staying at this motel. Staff was friendly. Dining area was small, only a few tables to sit at. We took our breakfast back to our room to eat. Was convenient to everything we were doing.

Won't be back

There are a few reasons for this bad review. 1st is that my father in law who is a cancer survivor was yelled at from across the pool room that he couldn't have a (plastic) bottle of water in the room with the pool. Then we noticed the pool was in rough shape. One of the edges were cracked and very sharp. In our room we noticed what looked like chocolate behind the chair. Looks like they sweep just the main area and don't detail the rooms very well. The last thing that bothered me was the fact that there was no Bible in night stand. Im not very religious but it has always been comforting knowing there was a Bible next to us when sleeping out of town. All these experiences combined will be the reason I will NOT return to this hotel. May avoid baymont hotels all together
