Clean room and fantastic breakfast

Room was spotless. Bathroom very small, no room for toiletries. Hotel is very retro. Staff is friendly

The hotel is dated and shabby. Having been to the property several times since it opened (40 some years ago) I can attest that the property has not been updated since then. Furniture in the rooms had wear holes on the arms with stuffing showing through. Bathroom sinks were cracked. Bath tubs needed resurfacing. Wooden furniture was chipped and cracked. Tile floors in the lobby had cracks and holes as if struck by a hammer. The carpets in the room were vacuumed a total of 1 time in an 8 day stay. Housekeeping needs to be requested, and even then was hit or miss. When we first walked into the bathroom there was trash on the floor from the previous occupant. They have the audacity to charge a mandatory $75 a night fee for 'incidentals' even though my quoted price stated 'incl taxes and fees'. Luggage carts were never available making it difficult to get things from your car to the room. For the rates they charge you per night there are better options, possibly at better prices.
