PATHETICALLY DISGUSTING

This was the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed in I do believe. I have two special needs kids which is not easy to deal with in a hotel. we get up to the third floor to our room carrying our luggage, and there's an ironing board set up the TV is on and the beds unmade. We go back downstairs, they give us a different room and here I am, like I said with two kids that are teenagers who have the mentality of toddlers and are nonverbal. We get to our room and the TV is broken, there are lines going across the screen the colors are all messed up and half the normal stations, like Nickelodeon and Disney are in Spanish. TV is one of the things that helps me be able to travel in order to keep my children pacified in a small room. I told clerk, she said she has no idea how to fix it. Nor does she offer anything else. There's no handle on the closet door so you can't open it. The vent in the bathroom leaks on you while you're sitting on the toilet because the ceiling is rotted away and it's absolutely disgusting looking with mildew and gross stuff. There's mold and mildew all in the bathtub which looks like it's not been cleaned in ages. You can only get coffee in the room if you hold the button down the entire time. Water all in the fridge & doesn't get very cold. I tell them all of this & they're so unaccommodating to offer me a 20% off but I have to go through the website I booked it on to get it. I asked to speak to the manager/owner who never shows up even the next day,

The minute I walked into the building I could tell it would be a good stay. It was clean and smelled nice. The hallways, stairwells, and room was perfect. We will be making this Comfort In our god to when staying in Opelika.

The person in charge of breakfast was sitting in the dining area with either a video or music playing loud enough for all to hear. They didn't have anything on identifying themselves as part of the staff. We had no idea they worked there until they got up to stock the food. Coffee was absolutely disgusting. So dark even 3 creamers wouldn't change the color. We had to wait until we were back on the road for a decent cup of coffee. Breakfast provided was not good. The staff at front desk was friendly but did not present themselves very professionally.

The upkeep of the rooms make you want to wear gloves on your feet. The hotel industry is not what it used to be. The room was dirty and is was absolutely obvious the sheets were not changed in between guests.
