The hotel was charming and the customer service was great. Small rooms with no ac, but windows that open and it was absolutely fine for a May visit. Warmer months may be slightly uncomfortable without AC, however we had no issue. They have a strange process where you give your keys to the front desk when you leave which made me uneasy at first but it was absolutely fine. Area is wonderful - right across the street from a grocery store, 5 mins to Luxembourg gardens, and 3 metro stops within a 10 minute walk. Great experience!!
Great little hotel, central to many tourist attractions. Very friendly and amenable staff - good price for location, basic but JUST what I was looking for!
I’m disappointed by my stay. The room was dusty, uncomfortable , no air conditioning. One of the nights I asked for ice and the employee brought it with his bare hands instead of s bucket. It is way overpriced for what you get.
I had a very nice stay at Hotel Jean Bart. The staff was very nice and professional. They even tried to help me locate a luggage store after my bag handle broke before my flight from San Francisco, California USA to Paris. The basic breakfast was just enough and the room was nice and quiet with a clean, updated bathroom. The shower head had the most pressure I have ever seen in a hotel.
The dirties hotel room I’ve ever had. Definitely will not recommend this hotel. Their breakfast buffet is ridiculous for an almost $200 a night you can get bread, boil egg,Or cereals. The room is super dirty when we arrived on our first day there is tooth pick underneath the bed and we stayed 3 nights and that same toothpick never got pick up so it’s probably still there. The room probably hasn’t been clean for a year because of the dust coming out underneath the bed and on top of desk and bathroom sink is unebelievable. The lady crew was giving you mean look when we got there for the first morning eating breakfast. They only provide shower gel so you better bring your shampoo and hair conditioner. They didn’t even provide no wash cloth just towel that smell funky. This is definitely an Old, stale, filthy and dirty hotel. The place seems never gets clean and no air circulation in the room.
Really enjoyed my stay in this hotel in the heart of Paris. Hotel is pretty simple. And the room is not most modern. But it has everything we need for our stay. The staffs are friendly and room is pretty big for Paris. Most important, it is very quiet, and there is not a lot of people or tourists on this street. It is very close to many restaurants, local markets and metro lines. Definitely one of my favorites stays in Paris.
This was our first visit to Paris and we chose this hotel based on Rick Steves recommendation. From the moment we arrived we felt extremely welcome ….. the staff was wonderfully kind and very pleasant. The location of the hotel is in a nice area and within walking distance of all the major tourist sites. Plenty of cafes and bars and restaurants nearby.
The hotel is small and has smaller rooms …. But it is very clean, very modern, and yet very quaint. They serve a nice breakfast in the morning that is included with your stay. Overall ….. just a very nice place to stay. We highly recommend this hotel.

The room was a decent size, good shower and elevator
Wanted a lovely, old, quaint, classic Paris hotel... and that's what this was! Staff and service were very attentive and helpful... spoke English too. The continental breakfast was extensive and delicious. We appreciated them allowing us to take our breakfast items to-go when we had early tours. Location is perfect for walking to many destinations - or to public transportation and a lovely park - the Luxembourg Gardens. Can't wait to go back.
I've searched over the last 30 years for a quiet, affordable, convenient hotel in central Paris. This was all of those things, plus comfortable and friendly. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
We spent 5 days here, loved this old style hotel with its tiny elevator and giant windows. Rooms aren't big but bathrooms are new and spacious. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Area was safe and quiet, plenty of wonderful dining options nearby. Excellent location for exploring Paris on foot or bicycle.
