This hotel was extremely noisy at all hours of the night. I stayed for two nights. The first night there were two weddings just down the hall from the rooms. The wedding guests were yelling and pounding through the halls all night. In addition, a staff member hit my car in the lot overnight. I came out to find a police report under my windshield. I thought that the hotel would have at least contacted me before I went out to find the back of my car destroyed. When I contacted the manager, nothing was done. I actually had to call him twice because he didn’t call me back. All he said was that an incident report was filed and that was the right thing to do. Won’t be returning anytime soon

We loved the St, Clair Inn! Wish we were staying longer! The room was lovely and the view was amazing. All staff were very friendly and shared intel regarding the history of the hotel - especially Kris, who assisted our check-in. We will definitely be back!

There is a lot to be said of an establishment approaching 100 years. It is definitely better than the "run down" condition it was in several years ago. The heating and cooling needs work and there are some unfinished places around the hotel that need work. Specifically, the outer seating areas on the 1st floor of the newer section. The food in the dining area is over salted and more comfortable chairs are needed outside. Passing freighters are great along with the boat traffic. The hotel staff seems better and more informed since our last stay, but I found a LONG black hair in the bathroom. This could eventually be a four star hotel, but I would give it a strong 3. They need an elevator in the old section and I don't think this hotel qualifies as handicap friendly. I enjoyed my stay and they went "out of their way" to accommodate my wife and I. They were honest about the heating/cooling problem in the new section. Would I return? Yes, for the right price.

We always love to stay at the St. Clair Inn. It is our local “go to” for special celebrations. The staff is terrific, and the hotel has so much character. For the first time, we went to the Dive Bar for dinner. Our server, Patricia, did a fantastic job. Overall, we had our usual enjoyable experience.

Very nice quaint hotel with history. A lovely renovation that incorporates the old and new.2 things to improve our stay- there were multiple spots on the living room carpet from spills that a spot cleaner machine could have easily done. There was a fantastic coffee machine but no tea bags. Staff was great, our stay was lovely.

Hotel is very nice, clean and the view was beautiful. Really could use better lighting in room. Tiny bathroom and no well lit area to put makeup or mirror use. No lights by bed for reading etc. No elevator to 3 floor rooms just fyi…. Restaurant or bar not open on Mondays.
