Disliked: Cleanliness
I have debated weather or not to say anything I didn't read reviews before I booked. Only after to see if anyone else mentioned the cleanliness of the cabin. And there are the reviews with the same opinion as me. At the least it needs a deep clean. Things like, the silverware holder in the drawer was full of crumbs and ick. Where the pots and pans sit had dirt and filth. I had to pre-wash anything I used to cook bc there was food cooked onto the cookware. Behind the nightstand of the room we stayed in was piles of dust bunnies. My white socks were black within a few minutes so I'd don't know when it was mopped last. We wore our shoes inside the whole week due to this. The furniture was dirty and had crumbs when we got there. The fireplace does not work (gas) and a draft blows through it constantly.The mini split upstairs has mold or mildew (it's black) in the vents. The gas grill is too rusted to use. Found this out after buying 80 worth of steaks. It was just disappointing especially after traveling 1200 miles. Whoever cleans for them needs a lesson or fired. More thoughts needs to be put into the towels, cooking utensils etc that are provided. That cabin gets the "crap" no one else wanted at the yard sale type. It could be a GREAT place. The setting is beautiful. I never expected this. It was sad and we probably won't ever stay there again.
