Quaint and cozy. Owner is super friendly and helpful. Right on the water where you can see Canada a stone's throw away. Historic park nearby and within reasonable distance of the eastern most point in the continental US. Perfect for our road trip!
I'm going to be honest; this isn't a modern property, and the room wasn't top notch, but it met our needs. The floorboards in the bathroom were squeaky and loose under the linoleum, and the decor is outdated. But it's also par for the course for a small-town motor inn. They aren't meant to be fancy; they are meant as a place to lay your head on your way to other destinations. The host/clerk was super friendly and gave us a list of things to do in the area, which we actually used on our way out the next day (the halfway marker for the northern latitude is nearby; kinda cool to see!) We picked up groceries in nearby Calais for dinner and just chilled in the room for the night. So, overall, if you need a reasonable priced place to lay your head just inside the Maine border, this is a good place to book.
Outstanding, alas fishing season is over. We'll be back 4 times during Aug/Sep/Oct '25 to stay with you again. Mahalo

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The property is clean and comfortable but very dated. I haven’t seen a microwave like that since the 80s and flooring (bathroom) since the 70s. Still, I’d probably stay there again.
It is a basic, older hotel that gets the job done. It was quiet and had a very good shower. My only complaint is the room floors are not level, which caused the head of the bed to be lower than the foot of the bed by a notable amount. I had flip the bedding and sleep with my head at the foot of the bed. The bed was comfortable, I just wish it would have been level. Otherwise it was a decent stay.
