Unusable WiFi and unprofessional staff response – not suitable for remote work My stay at this hotel could have been perfectly fine, but it was ultimately ruined by completely unusable WiFi. I was working remotely and specifically needed reliable internet access. I woke up at 5am to start my workday with the goal of finishing before the 11am checkout, but the WiFi in my room was so slow and unstable that I couldn’t get anything done. I went to the business center hoping for a wired connection, since there were three Ethernet ports available. Two were connected to computers and one to a printer. With staff approval, I disconnected one of the computers to use the Ethernet jack—only to discover after 30 minutes of troubleshooting that none of the Ethernet ports were active at all. The entire business center had no wired internet connectivity. When I reported this to the front desk, I was told the business center computers were supposed to connect over WiFi, which made no sense given that they were physically plugged into the wall. When I pointed this out, the representative became defensive, accused me of “getting an attitude,” and refused to continue the conversation unless I “changed my tone.” I simply asked for some kind of accommodation since internet access was part of why I chose this hotel. Instead, she implied that because I had used the room overnight, I was only trying to get out of paying. She then turned to another employee and said, “There is nothing wrong
