Room was clean and the location was convenient. I don’t understand why the bathrooms don’t have vents though… unless I just completely missed something. Other than that I think I would stay here again and recommend it for the value. I didn’t however enter Penn Station so I can’t speak to that as point of convenience for the hotel, instead I just relied on Uber to get around.

First, if booking is made by 3rd party app, you do not get bottled water, no early check in, and hence the worst rooms. Housekeeping do not read signs. So it’s better you do not hang the “Maid Service Required” sign outside the door. Because of no cleaning was done, we had to wait an hour and 3 calls to the front desk before we get the fresh towels. Things didn't get any better when you have the front desk lady being so rude and impatient. She won’t wait for you to finish and hang up without asking further. The hotel selling point is its location but the trains are always either delayed or cancelled so it takes a long time to get to New York City

Staff was very courteous and nice. Rooms were older and even though it’s connected to NJ Penn Station, the breezeway closes at 8 pm along with all the restaurants. There are no restaurants open on the weekends except the hotel restaurant so you’re very limited.

Staff is great but the room can be cleaner. The stain on the carpet and the curtains should be taken care of soon as I read about this comment on previous review. The location is right by the Newark penn station however, the station is full of homeless people so if you have a daughter like me whose very uncomfortable around them, please take that in consideration when booking this hotel. I booked this for the overpass so we didn’t need to go outside but it is not open on weekends and closes at 10pm on weekdays. We list at least 2 hours a day travelling back and forth to manhattan so if your main goal is to explore manhattan, I saw stay in manhattan.
