At first glance, it looks great. But the detail to cleanliness and the need to replace worn out and dirty things (the window shade is hideous and the entry door looks like the same one from when the place was built. There is peeling paint, scuff marks, extremely dirty areas on doors at the touch points and the toilet is mounted in a crooked manner and the caulking job on the floor looks like it was done by a blind handyman. The aerator in the bathroom faucet was missing ...probably used in a previous occupants crack pipe. Wire coat hangers in the wardrobe and the mattress needs replacing. The refrigerator was a few degrees below room temperature. Just not what we expected from the few pictures on the booking site and $130 a night. All was not lost, I liked the clock on the night stand and the free breakfast was ok but definitely not enough seating for a high occupancy place.

The staff were very nice, the room had some upgrades done. But some of the work needed to be redone. The bathroom sink new and modern but used a piece of wood to cover the plumbing. The shower and some base board was meldew.

The property is old, very unique and quaintly charming. They tried to update amenities; paint, flooring, updated bathroom. However, it still felt a little "trashy". Despite that, we'd probably stay again.

Staff is lovely, Allowed us to check in a couple hours early. Unfortunately the room could have used some additional cleaning attention. Some makeup stains on the pillow cases and the floor was filthy. We realized this because we took our sandals off when we got into the room and were walking in our bare feet… the undersides were completely black. A good scrub with a clean mop is all that’s needed to fix that issue.

The Kleenex box in the bathroom was dusty, the bottom shelf on the cabinet where you put your clothes was dusty, lights were unplugged the clock not set, the small refrigerator wasn’t stable. All the chairs by the big tree in the middle of the courtyard had no cushions.

Very good location on general. However, the hotel was more like a motel. Room I reserved and paid for was approximately 100 square feet less than expected. You had to walk around the building to a breakfast area that was run down and basically dirty. I did not eat breakfast there at all. Also room was not renovated to any extent. Don't go by the pictures at all. Any way, just an average motel that happens to be within walking distance to just about everything, including the trolley station.

Nice, cheap, dive for close to the action.

The location can't be beat. It's close to historical sites and walking distance to most places if you are not limited by physical issues. We were able to catch the trolley (green) at the motel stop. That was lovely. The front desk staff was wonderful and helpful. The room was "clean" but has mildew on the bathroom ceiling. There were large red ants coming into the bathroom, and cracks in the walls. Also, the curtains in the room were thread bare and able to show light through them in the morning sunshine. There was no way to use my Roku device with the TV in the room. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable and we did not use the pillows provided because they were old and well used. No bed bugs, just not fresh. The tile floor was not the cleanest either but it's hard to keep that type of flooring clean in an older place. We were not bothered by much of that, as we just cleaned up ourselves. If that's a deal breaker for you, than this is not your place. However, if you don't mind a place with character and priced well, than this place is great.

I was only here for one night, but truly loved this property. The location was amazing! The only negative was that the walls are thin and our neighbors were quite noisy all night.

Everything was amazing. I highly recommend this place. Very convenient to downtown. Staff extremely friendly. Rooms extremely clean and beds very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the coffee choices were excellent. You cannot go wrong with staying here.

Rude. Charged $100 to cc and did not credit account for a week. They hold deposits for a week in interest bearing accounts while they keep your money from you for their benefit.. This is what cheap motels do. This place has paper thin walls. Had to call the cops due to fighting in next room at 4am. The breakfast is a joke! Turkey sausage and powdered eggs..Just go somewhere decent and be happy. Get tired of paying market rate for rude checkin. Also refused to allow an early checkin at 2pm when it was obvious half the rooms had been cleaned. I was as told to sit and await with my elderly mother when the clerk could have easily checked me in. Yes, I did check directly with housekeeping. She was extremely rude and lazy. Seemed to enjoy the power of inconvenience over my elderly mom. How awful when a business could easily extend this courtesy to a guest but refuses to do it…lazy! I live In this town but will never recommend this place. I could feel the coil in the bed. The building itself needs power washing. Just cheap people running a cheap motel. I did not get what I paid for. Sad it’s here making our city look cheap too!
