The booking and check in/check out process via the Hilton app was excellent as always. The digital key is fantastic. We frequently stay at Hampton Inns and generally have good experience with them. This particular stay was not great. For starters, the hotel was under renovation, we arrived after dark and the whole front of the hotel was dark and torn up. At first we thought it was closed down.
The room was satisfactory, although the ice machine on the second floor was not functioning.
Around 1:30 am we were awoken by extremely loud motorcycle engines screaming, which went on repeatedly for several minutes. (This, of course was no fault of the hotel, but maybe not the best location for the property?). At 5:30 am, the construction equipment fired up, loud engines, banging and beeping. I can appreciate that the property needs to be and is being updated, but I wouldn’t stay there again until the work is done. Breakfast was decent and the staff was friendly and helpful, just didn’t get a great nights’ sleep this time.
