Booked Without Being Told About Ongoing Renovation

I booked and was charged for my stay at Hyatt Place Tampa Airport/Westshore with the understanding that there were no disruptions. Only after booking did I receive notice that the property is undergoing major renovations from May–September 2025, impacting both parking and the overall guest experience. This information should have been disclosed before purchase so guests can make an informed decision. Transparency matters.

From trash to treasure

Upon arrival the directions to the front office was a hot mess and very confusing, there was a ton of construction going on at the hotel. The front lobby was moved to a back area where they made a makeshift check in lobby. I had no issue signing in though that went very well. Nose when I arrived on my floor instantly you could tell that EVERYTHING had been newly renovated, it was stunning! I loved the corridor and when I got to my room I was floored. It was extremely spacious and ALL the features and fixtures were update and very modern. I will definitely be back for sure. The corridor & room made you forget all about the construction that was afoot! I just wish I took photos!!!

Appreciate that the hotel is being renovated but I was not made aware of the construction until after I paid for my reservation. It was an inconvenience to have limited facilities and dodge construction work on site.

Our room was recently renovated and very nice and comfortable. The hotel is undergoing maintenance so there was a lot of construction. The elevator was very slow die to construction. Breakfast was very limited. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Shuttle to airport was great.

My Short Stay

My stay at the Hotel was pleasant! Very enjoyable for my son and my mom. I was disappointed at the beginning when I was not able to get a room on the first floor due to the renovations that were taking place, but the hotel representative was very nice about the situation. We were able to make the best of our stay, the location was great for my son‘s appointment, and the breakfast was delightful with a convenient sitting area with additional tables away from renovations. I would come back to this hotel after renovations.
