Discover the quaint coastal charm of Tybee Island from this cottage, a vintage home welcoming guests with a screened-in porch, a shaded backyard, free WiFi, and a great location with easy walking access to all of the island's best attractions.

Walk just a half-mile to North Beach and, on your way, sightsee at historic Fort Screven or the Tybee Island Light Station and Museum. But you'll also be just two miles north of shops and eateries along Tybrisa Street. If you have a larger group, consider renting both this house and the back cottage, Tybee Island Sunset, which has one bedroom, one full bathroom, and space for as many as two people.

Built in 1900, this beautifully preserved home is full of coastal colors, folksy furnishings, and artistic decor. Walk up a few stairs and through a front porch to view its single floor layout with a spacious living area, a full kitchen, three bedrooms, and a back porch. Spend some time in the gentle breeze from the overhead fan in the living area, or flip on the 60-inch flatscreen TV for DVD and cable entertainment.

Peer out over the neighborhood from a sofa and Adirondack chairs on the front porch, or head out back to sip sweet tea in the shade of Live Oak trees. You'll certainly love the backyard options, which include two tables for al fresco dining (one even with an umbrella), plus tropical landscaping and a screened-in porch attached to the house that overlooks it all.

Feeling hungry? Whip up a homemade meal back inside in the well-equipped kitchen. It features all that you'll need for whipping up fresh feasts while you're here, and there's even group seating at tables by the kitchen, on the back porch, and in the backyard.

Afterward, toss your dishes in the dishwasher, your clothes in the washer/dryer, and head to bed. Up to six guests are accommodated on queen beds in two bedrooms and twin beds in a third bedroom. Additional bedroom amenities include ceiling fans, reading lamps, and large picture windows with privacy curtains.

Whether you're looking for fun in town or relaxation on the beach, you'll find it all on Tybee Island. Reserve your spot on a fishing charter, or schedule surfing lessons on the beach. You could also explore the marshlands of the Wassaw National Wildlife Refuge by kayak, or head into Savannah (17 miles west) to sample the city scene.

Easy check in. The bedroom in the middle did have a significant leak over the bed. The water pressure needs improvement. Spacious and clean. Electrical could use some upgrades.

The place is so cute and well-kept. It is an older home so you have to be careful with the doors and such. The water pressure could be better. Otherwise, lovely experience here.

Quiet cottage

This is a small, quiet place in a neighborhood. We enjoyed the area. Nice place to walk. Its a short distance to the beach but parking is hard to find. I would have rated it higher but two things: mattreses were terrible. My back is really hurting. There is parking for two but it is tight. Water pressure is not great. We did enjoy the way the cottage was decorated.

Cozy Tybee Stay

This was a cozy cottage to stay a long weekend in Tybee. It was a great location. It could have maybe used more cleaning (we have a 10 month old and he was covered in dirt and dust from crawling around the house). The bathroom looked updated and the beds were pretty cozy. We did a load of laundry before leaving so that was helpful. We couldn't figure out the old-fashioned lock at first!

Great Getaway

Property was nice, beds ok. No blowdrier in unit and took repeated calls, emails etc and 2 days to get one. Other than that it was a nice little cottage.

Cute Little Place

Liked the place! The porch was the best. Very clean and had all of the essentials. We got locked out when we left for dinner because the bottom and top locks on the front door didn’t match, but the team helped us to get a locksmith out to resolve the problem for us and future people who stay there.

Great beach house

The local Vacasa team are fantastic! Make sure you get in touch with them if you need anything. The house itself is really nice and comfortable and the location is fantastic on the north end. We had a great visit and would definitely stay again.

It was a decent place to stay

The house wasn’t bad, the only thing was the floor looked like it had not been swept at all before we arrived and all of the sand that was on the leather couch. One interesting thing was the outdoor furniture that was stacked up in front of the washer and dryer on the back porch you have to move it all to access them. The final thing was that they send you a code to get in the door and it’s not the right one. After a long drive down there, it took us 20ish minutes just to get in the house because they gave us a 10 digit code and its only a 4 digit lockbox. We had to call and ask the after hours office to give us the correct code. Overall, not too bad, but we probably would choose a different location to stay on our next visit.

Terrible Tybee..Not at all like Pictures and reviews

With great weather our week stay to visit Savannah, Tybee Island and a day trip to Hilton Head was wonderful and fun, this property was not the reason. It’s important to note we do not have an axe to grind & absolutely want to portray any property we have stayed in the most positive light possible. For this uncozy cottage we simply couldn’t do it. It was a terrible property and overall living experience. It shouldn’t be listed to rent in its current condition. When we first pulled up…the front yard, roof and driveway looked as if this house had been abandoned. We were getting concerned before we went in the front door. Met by leaves, spider webs and various debris on the steps. The front porch portrayed the grunginess we would see in many areas. Upon entering the house a musty smell met us with every lampshade askew. The only bathroom was tight with the light above the sink (on)for the duration of our stay. The small chain that turned it on was broken and we couldn’t turn it off. No exhaust fan either. The hot cold taps and bathtub spout were coated with something and needed to be cleaned, which we did. Most importantly the floors were not clean. My wife’s white socks bottoms were black after wearing in the house and my slippers were coated in the same manner. One pays a cleaning fee and you must ask what do they do with this money? Surely not clean. Please note, we did not call anyone to discuss this. We simple stayed outside much longer to limit our inside exposure and didn't want anyone coming in while we were there. All this should have been done correctly the first time, right? And once you have arrived and your payment has been taken.. it’s a tough uphill climb. Additionally, we thought we booked with Vrbo but as it turned out Vacasa popped up after the reservation was made. Emails came from Vrbo Canada so be aware it wasn’t the Vrbo we’ve successfully booked with before. On the bright side, the coffee maker worked well, the fridge was clean, there was a nice television with many choices, and the water was good. Unfortunately that couldn’t overcome the negatives. This might be perfect for someone..just not us. On the website the pictures, descriptions and reviews give you the confident impression this house is a tidy gem. That’s simply not what we experienced. Vintage and cozy descriptions should not be an excuse for unclean, shabby and rundown. Hopefully this helps others and the condition of this property changes.

The cottage ship!

This cottage is adorable. It makes you feel like you are on a ship because of all the white clapboard. The beds are comfy! The kitchen is decently equipped for cooking full meals but the electric stove eyes are not even but you can work around it. One thing I think they should tell you as an amenity is that the shower is GREAT AND the bathtub is very deep and the hot water tank is equipped to fill it. I enjoyed a very lovely bath after a crisp ocean walk. The only thing I REALLY REALLY want to see at this property is fire pit for the off season. We were there when it was cold and the back patio was adorable and we would have loved to sit out there around a fire.

Great home in a charming area! BYO whatever you may need.

This was a wonderful rental and we were very happy there over Christmas week. Check-in was easy, the listing was accurate, and the home had clearly been prepared for us. We were not sure what to expect in terms of supplies but the home had plenty of toilet paper, soap, dishwasher detergent, and laundry soap. It did not appear to have any extra blankets, sheets, or pillows. I am not exactly sure what we would have done if we planned to use the trundle. I was cold the first night and frustrated with the lack of blankets. Maybe it is covid related? Probably not because the kitchen was equally sparse: I had to run the dishwasher between meals in order to have enough silverware for the four of us each day. The strangest thing was that this is the only rental I have ever stayed in that that had ZERO information on the house, activities, menus, etc. Do not go expecting to find a binder of information, a drawer of takeout menus and maps, etc. Stop by a visitor center and follow texted directions from vacasa. That said, we enjoyed the home and--even more--loved exploring the neighborhood by bike.
