We stayed as a family for 2 nights in a twin toom with two double beds and a balcony. The location was ok, a 30 minute drive or an hour on public transport to stanley park. The bedroom area itself looked like it had been recently refurbished and was clean and comfortable, although the entrance area and bathroom whilst being perfectly adequate looked like they were due the same refurb. The main issues were firstly the balcony. We had specifically booked the room with a balcony so we could use the space whilst our son fell asleep, however it was unusable for this purpose. There was no seating it looked dirty, uncomfortable and unappealing. In addition the traffic noise was very noticeable in the room, with barely any difference with the window closed, some decent double glazing whilat refurbing the rooms would have gone a long way. Breakfast was ok, not loads of choice but enough and not the biggest room for the size of the hotel but adequate. We also noticed the usenof single use plastic cups both in the bathroom and at breakfast rather than reuseable glasses which seemed outdated in this eco concious age. The parking was a welcome addition albeit a little tight but nothing unmanageable
