Never disappoints.

The Rialto is a great hotel that never disappoints. Spotless, comfortable, a touch of character, but not over priced. Also safe and secure parking and a great cocktail bar.

First, the hotel is nicely renovated, in a good location, staff are friendly and the room was clean but had an overwhelming smell of Febreeze or cleaning products. So much that we had to leave the windows open for hours. But there was a concerning mix up at check in. They "accidently" gave our room with a key to another person, who was very much using the room when we went to go in. He was very angry that we tried to come in (and rightfully so) but It left me with major concerns about the safety of this hotel. If multiple keys can be issued for the same room under completely different check in names, I was quite concerned about who could access our room when we weren't there. (Of course, we immediately locked the door as soon as we were inside.). I've stayed in 100s of hotel rooms and this situation has never happened before and I do understand that mistakes happen but...why bother checking for ID before issuing keys if it actually doesn't matter? I would not stay here again because of this reason.

The location is right at downtown close to everthing. The staff is nice. The room is clean and bed is comfortable. The only thing is the shower floor is quite slippery,, it would be nice if the hotel could place a bath mat on the shower floor.

The location is prime in downtown Victoria right beside Chinatown and City Hall. As with other downtown areas, unfortunately there will be some homeless people in the area. The hotel kept it safe by having security card entry for entrance and elevator. Although the hotel is not many floors, their sound proofing is quick good. They even gone into details and provided ear plugs in their drawers. The room is clean and there are noticeable upgrades done, including ability for guests to cast their phone to the TV, seamless wifi connection, gadgets for wireless phone charging. In room Lavazza coffee is provided in room, but guests are welcome to have a cup of brew coffee at the conceige and pick up some fruits as well. Staff are friendly. Check in and check out was easy and quick. They also provide service for guests to stow luggage as well upon checkout. We are very happy with our stay and will not hesitate to stay here again for our next Victoria visit.

We had no hot water for a shower in the evening, front desk staff not very helpful, body lotion in bathroom empty and room was very cold. Have stayed here before but not for sometime will not stay here again. Hotel Is getting very tired and needs updating.

Stayed here last week for a concert at Save on Memorial. Room was nice and location was great for walking to and from the event. Only complaint would be that parking ended up being a street over and ended up costing us an additional 15 dollars as the hotel had no parking left. I believe the hotel only has a few spots and the parking is also a street over.
