i love staying here. it is right inside yellowstone national park. the restaurant serves three meals every day and the food is fantastic. everyone was so pleasant and the hotel is beautiful. there is no tv in the rooms but the beauty you get to see out of the windows is fantastic. i did not miss having a tv.
The adjacent dinning facility was expensive and terrible.. I never went back, just bought stuff at the overpriced grocery store. Ended up going to Gardiner for food
the national park is very close as you are right in the park. the rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. i have stayed here the last time i went to the parks.
The location of this hotel is why we chose it. Now that I have been there, I probably would stay in Gardiner next time. This hotel was okay. It has no A/C. The only restaurant it had open closed early and so did the bar. The food was one star and barely warm. We only ate on site once since it was so bad. The room could have been cleaner. The bed was not comfy. There was a man playing piano at the bar one night which was nice. The elk all around the hotel was a plus! The general store was nice. The bar did not accept cash. There was no bellman when we checked in or out. There is no pool/hot tub. It is located right next to a visitor center.
I loved the hotel and the staff.
But the dining hall we had the worst waitress !! We had to pull everything from her the soup or fish of the day. To get a dessert menu.
We were actually turned off so bad we just went to the general store to pick up something for lunch. Our food was good but she had a Terrible personality and was a poor server …
Wonderful convenient location in historic hotel. It comes with creaky floorboards and noisy Edwardian plumbing at a premium price but a great experience.
We stayed here to be in the park. It was nice but cabin was a lil small for our family of 4. Nice to have dining hall; they do not accept reservations but we got a table pretty quickly. Super cool to see animals outside our cabins at night or in the morning.
