Location excellent, a short walk from Train Station and a Short walk into York City Centre. Breakfast excellent and room cleaned daily. The only disappointment was our room was street side and the noise from outside during the night was excessive. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs or book a riverside room. Rooms street side really need a better sound proofing.

All in all it was a nice stay. Only a couple of reasons for not giving 5 stars - there was rubbish in the bin in our room and some rubbish on the bedside table on our arrival to the room. Also the air conditioning kept coming on and it was very cold and loud and wouldn’t change when adjusting the thermostat. We didn’t spend much time in the hotel so not a big issue for us but could be a problem for some.

The hotel is lovely and friendly . The bed was so comfy and loved the bedding and towels. The bathroom was t too good. After a bath and you pulled out the plug there was a ball of hair it was disgusting. The breakfast was yummy. Still a gorgeous place to stay and town just round the corner.

Room was lovely & clean, had a twin room & both beds were small doubles. Breakfast was lovely, fresh & plentiful. Staff were quick to clear the dishes & clean the tables for guests. Would use this hotel again.
