Disappointing that there was no air conditioning. There was just a plug in noisy fan which made sleeping difficult in the heat. Other than that everything was great.

Outside in some parts was very mucky. Parts off dining area could have done with some flowers, look overgrown with weeds Also in some parts facia border could do with some painting

Lovely staff and great facilities. Beds very comfy. Parking was offsite but not far to walk. Central for all the sites.

Son booked his room as he's staff from another Marriott, his Superior room was clean and everything was as expected. Just one small minor issue a couple of loose boards on the balcony - didnt distract the view of the Racecourse. My daughter & i got a free unexpected upgrade to a family room which was huge for just the two of us. Breakfast was fitting for a Marriot, son won't comment as he's a chef, service and staff were excellent. The only thing i didnt like and the Marriott cant do too much about is that the pool area is right at the front of the hotel, you have to walk past to get to car park at the side. Wandering around the grounds we walked the Apple orchard- so many apples wasted, didnt see advertised a Tennis court, which had we known, we would have used. A great 3 night stay - enjoyed by all.

Good location to all amenities

Location perfect - near train station and short walk to all the sights. Staff was amazing. Room spacious. Food was great. Special shout out to concierges - Joseph and Nigel for assistance in recovering luggage the airline delayed. Highly recommend!!
