Old and Dilapidated

Floors were despicable. Do not walk into or around the room without footwear. Saw to bugs crawling in my bed. Awful. The dresser was broken and unusable, civil war era.

I was not given the room that I reserved/paid. I asked the front desk clerk if I was receiving the correct room and he assured me that it was what I reserved. Not True The room was so dusty that my nose was burning. The website showed free breakfast was included as part of the reservation. Upon arriving, there was a sign taped to the front of the desk that said there would be no breakfast due to renovations. The entire experience was horrible. I got to the hotel almost ten at night otherwise I would would have left.

The room was a good size, but not clean, shower was good. The rooms need to be updated. The pool was closed when we arrived and was not notified about that. There was 1 Woman named Iris that worked there who seemed to have all the knowledge about the place and was super helpful. She should be running the place.

Breakfast included advertised. NOT, closed for remodeling. One of the reasons I picked this hotel, was for the breakfast. Phone and TV did not work and when I tried to contact front desk I could not reach anyone, was too tired to walk to front desk. Was surprised no microwave or refrig in room, could not open closet door. Will not stay there again, was not up to what i expected from a LaQuinta.

Absolutely disgusting. We couldn’t stay there. Then the staff was ignoring expedias calls to get our money back. We had to go in an make her answer. She kept putting them on hold for almost an hr while she sat there on her phone. We could see her through the window door.

The management had a note posted cancelling the breakfast without compensation for the guests. I selected La Quinta for two reasons: free breakfast and pet friendliness. I understand when they have to cancel the breakfast amenity due to renovation, however they should offer guests a discount on their rates or provide them with a discount for breakfast at a local restaurant.
