Waited over 1 hour for shuttle at airport.. Went to restaurant near by that they dropped 12 of us off....called numerous times over an hour period. Finally hired a couple ubers. Get back to hotel, both shuttle buses sitting in parking lot. Breakfast was not good. Broken toaster took forever to toast bagel. Would never recommend to anyone or stay here. Rooms were not that clean. Ice machines on every other floor....very unconvenient. One elevator for whole biilding....wait time long.

The rooms could use some updating, but our biggest complaint was the lack of maintenance. Our AC controls did not work and we had to unplug it to turn it off to control the room temperature. The shower control was very noisy and vibrated in a way that caused the temperature to eventually work its way up to fully hot (requiring constant adjustment while showering). The community bathroom was dirty and overflowing. Some of the staff were a bit unfriendly. We had originally booked the room for the week, but left after two days.

Not happy with La Qunta

Shower was leaking water had to tighten head, room had a damp smell, bed sucked! Was like sleeping on a “Box Spring”, pillows sucked! and the worst was the pool was closed and I had planned on spending time at the pool while staying at the hotel. At no point while making my reservations with you did it alert us that the pool would not be opened. I would expect at least a partial repayment for what we got for our money!

We needed to get to the airport by 6am. The shuttle didn’t start until 7am. I didn’t know this when I booked. I wouldn’t have stayed there. We barely made our flight with a cab for an extra $30!!!

The LaQuinta Inn & Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport served its purpose as an overnight pre-cruise stop, earning a generous 7/10 rating. The hotel’s saving graces were its genuinely friendly and efficient staff and its convenient location near the airport and cruise port. However, the room condition was poor. The room had visible carpet stains, and the air conditioner did not work well, making the night uncomfortably warm. A distinct, persistent odor—possibly from chemical spray—was also immediately noticeable and unpleasant throughout the hotel and room. The complimentary breakfast was also severely lacking, offering only basics like toast and waffles, with no hot protein items (no cooked eggs, bacon, or sausage or potatoes). While acceptable for the specific price we paid, the significant issues with cleanliness and comfort mean we would not recommend this hotel at full price and will likely not return.

The room I had was terrible. Mind you I booked this Hotel at least a month in advance just to have the staff tell me it wasn’t ready yet. Worst Hotel EVER!!!! Fridge didn’t close, toilet had blood on it and barely flushed, tub was stopped up there was also a cockroach in our room. Breakfast was horrible. Boiled eggs yogurt and bread….what a JOKE! Worst experience for me and my teenage boys.

This is a modest, clean hotel with a friendly staff. Parking is free and there are many spaces available. The bus stop is a short walk away and the TriRail distance is also walkable although a bit more of a challenge. If you’re driving, I-95 is less than 2 minutes away. The view of the lake is beautiful. The only thing I did not like about this hotel is that breakfast choices are quite limited. I plan to stay here again.
