Our ensuite was clean, updated, had a sofa for comfortable seating. It was small but we don’t mind small. The ocean view was limited. It’s located in a small village in a mostly residential area with only one restaurant that was closed the day we were there, which they had notified us in advance.

Well Proportioned Accommodationat Kaka Point

When we first arrived we were a little underwhelmed by this motel it does not make a good impression upon arrival. However once we in our large room and noted that it had recently been refreshed we were more appreciative. We then remembered how reasonably priced it was for such a large room and noted the excellent view from the room's balcony. Kaka Point is well worth a visit and this motel is a very worthy place to stay.

Stone's throw from the beach

What a beautiful location. The motel is a stone's throw from the beach. The rooms are well equipped with everything you need to be self sufficient. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Parking was ample. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not too much available at Kaka Point, but there is a little shop and a restaurant. Beach view was stunning.

Wow! I really wasn't expecting much since this is a tiny and remote town, but this was our favorite hotel of the dozen or so we stayed at during our 3 weeks in NZ. Big, clean, great ocean view... We had the "Family Apartment" which you should specifically ask for if it is available...outstanding corner unit.

The room we had was well set up with just about anything needed for kitchen supplies. The view from the kitchen and balcony was spectacular. We were very comfortable here and would happily stay longer next time.
