The convenience of the location and karaoke bar at the hotel was very nice. I didn't know the windows were made to not close all the way EVER. When it got too loud because of the construction outside, I wasn't able to shut out the noise.

The staff was very nice and helpful. Very close to the beach and other amenities. A bit noisy at night. Clean rooms and the ac works well. Like that we were able to borrow beach chairs and other equipment. Appreciated the staff looking after our bags even after we had checked out because we had a late flight. Housekeeping was also great whenever they cleaned our rooms.

Upon checking in and seeing the room. The queen sized bed was super low to the floor making it hard to get on and off. Like below the knees low, and I’m not a tall person, That includes the platform bed with a super skinny thin mattress. You could feel the rails underneath. The only chair in the room had a broken front leg and some white “staining” on there. There was water damage and mold on the corner of the ceiling. The room was quite small which would have been fine had the accommodations been great or even tolerable. The staff was very nice however but it doesn’t make up for the lack of attention to detail in the room. We ended up not staying here and having to book at another hotel last minute. Which in Hawaii is very expensive. We had to fight with them about refunding us our money as the manager can’t help with anything. There was only a daytime manager who did not answer the staffs phone calls during our interaction to get guidance from her.

Stellar location 1 block off the beach behind the Hyatt. Comfortable room. Dated. Clean. Friendly staff. Great beach gear included. Parking was easy. Close to everything in Waikiki.

Clean, spacious room. Literally one block from the Duke statue on the beach. Tour busses from Many companies pick up right in front of the hotel. Great beach towels, chairs, inflatables and boogie boards for guest use. Friendly staff. Parking was easy. This hotel is dated. The price reflects that. The location is amazing.

This attempt to take over a 1950’s vintage bldg was not worth the money either for the hotel or for us. The rest room must have designed by a retired submariner, All 7.5 sq ft of it. The door opened only halfway and bumped into the sink. You could not get on the toilet without stepping in past the toilet and closing the door which did not close all the way. The shower was 2’ by 2’ with a raised entrance (11”) and no lighting the Dial shampoo & conditioner dispensers in the shower eventually worked, but the Dial soap dispenser was above the sink next to the toilet. In all my travels, this is #4 on my all-time list of worst toilets. The floor was clean. Parking was in a basement garage with no elevator access. So I ended up having to carry my 40# suitcase up a narrow 22 step staircase. We only passed two working girls as they left the building. Noise from new construction 2 blocks away finally stopped at midnight and didn’t start til 7:15. Then the screaming in the neighborhood funneled into our room All in all, this has not improved my faith in hotels.com. Pass on Stay hotel in Honolulu.

Terrible experience. My experience includes getting catfished by these pictures and lied to as well as being gaslit by the staff. First off, these pictures are extremely misleading. The rooms are VERY old and the lighting is TERRIBLE. I felt disgusting using the showers and the worst part is the BLACK MOLD I found when inspecting the AC vent. After being felt like I was lied to, I began inspecting general areas that must be clean, such as the showerhead, sink faucets, bedsheets, blankets, and AC vent since this was going to be the whole time. I shined my flashlight into the vents and saw bits of mold. If I was able to attach pictures, I would because it was disgusting. To make matters worse, the AC is facing the side of the bed so its blowing at your head when you sleep. Imagine sleeping with black mold blown in your face. When I brought up my concerns to the staff, the receptionist said "yes I will show this to my manager this to see what this black stuff is, it COULD be mold." Then the big lady manager came out and I was told that its not mold, just a bit of dust. I said dust is gray and this is black and also said the receptionist also agreed its black. But then the receptionist said "I never said black, I said DARK." Ridiculous plain catfishing, lying, gaslighting, and poor customer service. This place is very old so I normally have understanding and low expectations with old hotels like this. But wow this is just deceitful.
