If you are going to book with this hotel just know a few things we experienced before deciding. We appreciate that it is really close to the beach and you have many restaurants near by. We also like that they have a water refill station. But there were a few things we did not like. To start off, there is a $35 fee per day on top of price for the room. They also charge $40 a day for parking which was the biggest disappointment for us seeing that you would love to get to your hotel without having to pay to park! The bed was not so comfortable like other hotels we have stayed in. Elevators seem to take very long to get to our floor. Bathroom didn’t have exhaust fan and they are really tiny. There is a door inside the room in the wall that divides the room which means you can hear your neighbor early morning if they’re up talking loud. Laundry cost $5.25 per load to wash and another $5.25 to dry all in all just ask for hidden fees before booking

If you are looking for good basic accommodations in Waikiki, the Malia is a great choice. Located in the middle Waikiki, it is a short walk to Shopping, and numerous good eating options, and the Fort DeRussy Beach. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is clean and well maintained. The Waikiki Malia is a good choice for solo or family holidays.

The property was close to the beach and restaurants. The customer service was excellent. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help. The swimming pool was extremely small and always crowded so we just opted for the beach instead. The parking is not free and quickly adds up. The parking has no valet service and the structure itself is very narrow so that took some getting used to. There is a microwave and ice machine on two of the floors. They also have a laundry room but we didn’t use them.
