This was our first time in London so I really wasn’t sure if this would be a good location for sightseeing but it was perfect. The neighborhood is quiet but safe and within walking distance of so many attractions plus the tube/buses. The hotel is modern and clean with all of the necessary amenities plus extras. The hotel was committed to ensuring that we had a great experience. The front desk and restaurant staff were all professional, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast option was great and worth the cost. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will happily recommend this hotel to our friends.

Good location. Air con system only blew cold air and the toilet dropped constantly. I mentioned this to the Concierge on Day 1 but still not fixed by end of Day 2.

Clean, quiet and a great location.

Stayed here for six days. The room, though not large or grand, had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable. The bathroom had a tub and a very nice walk-in shower, with great pressure and plenty of hot water. Staff was friendly, but we didn’t interact much as we had no issues. We didn’t try the restaurant, but it looked nice. Location was great and quiet, yet only a very short walk to the Tower Hill tube station.

Not the best Apex in London

1) I was not given the room I paid for due to "high occupancy" (fancy name for "oversell"). No compensation offered 2) The hotel has poor ventilation - you can feel it both in your room and the restaurant during breakfast 3) The checkout shift at the reception was very professional, while the one during check-in needed to be trained - a casual chat with a client they liked made five other clients queue for a check-in.

Not as good as previous visits

This was our 3rd time staying here and unfortunately not as good. Upon check in the girl only checked us in to 1 room, then when I asked about the other she told me we had 3 rooms booked, which we didn’t. She wasn’t very friendly and told us nothing about the hotel, not even which direction we needed to go to get to our room. We should have got a free drinks voucher and after getting to the room remembered this, we asked for it at reception afterwards and she was unsure but after checking said thank you for reminding her. Surely your staff should be better trained if front of house.

I loved the hotel, the reception area is very large, with comfortable couches and chairs, and the majority of the staff were professional and friendly. I was only there for one night with a large Wedding group. There are only 3 things that were dissatisfying to us. 1. No ice available for guests to help themselves to, and yet, there are ice buckets in our rooms? Assuming I’d find an Ice Machine on the floor, I ended up searching EVERY FLOOR to no avail, the lobby looking around to see if it was perhaps At the front desk noticed I held up my bucket and asked him where the Ice Machine was, and was told that there were NOT any ice machines available to guests, but he could go and get me some. The only way to get ice is from the Front Desk. Why was this not brought up during Check in?!? # 2: After I received my ice, I asked if there was a breakfast included with the room, and was told Yes, as long as it is reserved the night before. (Also not discussed at Ck In.) Long story short, I reserved for us and one other couple, after asking the F. Desk if we could cancel if needed, and was assured absolutely!. More miscommunication so we ended up with a large bill that was not negotiable! 3. Lastly, the rooms lock automatically right at Ck- out time, and if you are 2 steps from entering, the door will be locked and you’ll have to go back downstairs for another key!! Also not discussed at Check in!! I’ve reached my limit of characters so have to leave out other details. Tricky.
