The rooms are small but comfortable. The toilet area is especially small. Staff is friendly. Located close to shopping and restaurants. Hop On bus stop close by.

We needed a hotel to stay just one night before flying out of Heathrow. This place is clean, simple, convenient, and comfortable. Beds were super comfortable and the heated floor in the bathroom was nice. The room is small and as basic as you can get, but a great value for the small amount of time we’d be there. Location is so convenient with its proximity to paddington station. Would recommend to people looking for just a bed and a shower and planning to spend most time out exploring London.

Bon séjour

Sejour de 3 nuits. Chambre (n°4) au calme. Lit un peu trop mou pour nous. Le chauffage ne fonctionnait pas mais l'hôtesse d'accueil a proposé un chauffage d'appoint en attendant le technicien le lendemain matin. La douche était brûlante mais l'hôtesse est à nouveau intervenue efficacement. Propreté très bien. Accueil très sympa. Petit-déjeuner correct. En résumé, bon hôtel bien placé avec services tout à fait satisfaisant.

Close to Paddington Station

Nice entrance and lobby - and friendly staff for checkin. I had booked a 2 night stay - and when checking in - informed me that i had to stay in two different rooms - one for each night (i had a number of bags, so unpacking and packing was not convenient; and the rooms were on different floors with no elevator close by). They DID offer to have their staff move my bags into the new room which went well. The rooms are very small, even by London standards - but they were both clean and well maintained. I would stay here again given the front staff support.

Great staff, clean bite size rooms

We had a great stay at our hotel near Paddington. The room was bite size but exactly what we needed. The beds were comfortable, and there were extra blankets which is great as my mom tends to run cold. The desk staff were friendly and helpful with questions about transportation.

Our first morning we woke up to screaming kids at 6 am I went to the front counter to look for help but instead I was met with a rude angry woman who proceeded to yell and scream at me on how she can’t do anything about this lobby was full of customers and she over talk me wouldn’t let me speak. Absolutely rude I would never stay here again I regret staying here never felt so embarrassed for me and my kid who ended up scared thinking we were gonna get kick out. We did nothing wrong to get treated like this especially for the money we paid. I work in the customer service industry and never ever treat a customer like this let alone talk to another human like this. 1/10 stars if I could I would ask for a refund. Back here in Canada I will do everything in my power to let everyone know how bad this place is and will continue to post on every social site about the The Athena. Bad , rude and not worth the verbal abuse we suffer from the staff at this facility
