Overall, the property is an excellent spot for a heavy sleeper.
It is less than a 5 minute walk to Paddington Station, but conversely this does make it quite noticable when trains are arriving/departing. As a deep sleeper this was not an issue, but for someone who is more prone to sounds at night, this could be problematic.
This building is in the older part of London and as such does not have central AC available in rooms. Luckily high ceilings were able to mitigate a lot of the heat, but it would be wise to use less covers at night.
Area around the property is great: small park directly outside with many restaurant options right around the corner. Additionally Hyde Park and Kensington Palace are a short distance away.
I would consider coming back to this hotel for future stays in London.

Overall works for a place to sleep. The room was fairly clean however the bathroom definitely smelled of mildew and there was hair in the shower. They offered late check in which was great as we arrived at midnight. Expedia says breakfast is included but it is definitely not and only runs 8-9am. We had to leave before they offered breakfast so I can’t speak on the quality of food. I would stay here if I was only coming in to sleep for the night and not much more.

Great area, good staff, quiet. Room was a bit small, shower good but small. But I'd stay there again.
Room condition was tired and run down, which I personally don’t mind too much when travelling for work - but the noise from the tube is so loud.
I was originally put in a basement room, which may as well have literally been in the underground station, I requested to be moved which was begrudgingly agreed to, which was better but still there’s a noticeable amount of noise.
My room was on 4th floor no lift. Keeps you fit but a bit too much! Quite a hight 4th floor and very narrow steps. Room was dated not spotless but okay. The shower almost didn’t work in the morning took about 15 min before water was hot enough for a shower. It was ok but only just.
Good value for the price, very well located, and the undergraund subway paddington excelent, very clean and coveniente just 3 min walk from the hotel, i was able to take the fast train to the airport. It arrives to the airport in 15 min..amaizing
The hotel was nothing like the pictures showed. The walls were filthy and in need of repairs.
The curtains in the room were stained, and so were the mattresses. I found hair on my pillow case. The carpet was old and we never took of our shoes because it was disgusting. The shower was really dirty and I washed it myself before getting in. No shampoo or conditioner's either. Yet the room was over $300 a night! All together a nightmare.
Honestly, I was apprehensive at first. The staff seemed abrupt and unfriendly on the phone. In person they were very accommodating. The room was clean, nice and warm and spacious enough for what we needed. The TV being a smart TV was great and not something we initially expected. The only downside was the vibration of nearby trains until midnight (Paddington) but on the plus side it's easy access to transport.

The building is old and falling apart like most houses in London. Single room size for London and at this price was good. The best value was breakfast. Truly superb breakfast for price paid.
Booked a quadruple room which should have come with a double bed and 2 single beds but received 2 double beds instead. When I spoke to reception he said it was 'my fault' because i should have specified what we wanted when I booked even though it clearly states what comes with the quaruple room on the hotel and expedia website. After much debate he was going to switch our room until i found out my daughter already peed in the toilet so the room is now 'used'. Lots of noise when the train goes by but good proximity to train station and hyde park. Fairly clean. Bed was uncomfortable. All in all, get what you pay for.
