Pros: good location, friendly staff, all amenities one needs, such as bed (albeit very soft) towels, good hot shower, kettle, tea, coffee, soap, aircon etc. Cons: Noisy with traffic, constant cold draft through window, curtains didnt cover outside light, hairs on fresh bed linen, very dusty aircon, which set off my allergies and a lot of grimy spots in the shower and dust in less obvious spots. I didn't feel the room had been properly cleaned in a while. Needs some TLC.

Great place, friendly staff

My friends and I came for a two night stay in January. We stayed in a triple room and were on the top floor. The room was clean, we had a kettle and tea and coffee available and the option for delivery of room service. The staff were very lovely and were nothing but helpful and polite to us, especially when we went out at 2am and returned at 5am, therefore needing the door to be unlocked. The hotel is in a great location and we had a very pleasant experience here.

Hot water would have been nice

The lobby was charming and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was compact and that's what I expected so it was fine with me. But a shower that was actually hot instead of only sort of warm would have been nice.

Great location for shopping and transport. Upon entering the hotel it looked lovely in the lobby. We took the elevator to our room where conditions weren't all that great. The room was very small and with two small children it wasn't great. The windows are awful tbh, it was horrible weather and windy and they were rattling and letting in cold air. The bathroom looked like it was once beautiful but just not cared for, the toilet placement made it a squeeze, there was crack in the tiles behind the toilet. The shower curtain was to short, looks like there was once a sliding door on the shower and just replaced with a curtain. There is under floor heating which was nice. Needed more toilet roll and went to reception to be handed half a roll off the desk. There was a hoover left out in the hallway which is a hazzard, the cupboard next to the lift was open which is also a hazzard, it contained electrics for the lift so should have been locked. The door to the stairs outside for staff was left open which again is a hazzard as we were top floor and a staff member at one point was even out there smoking. It wasn't the best of stays but had worse in the past. I would maybe use again if was given a bigger room and there was no where else to stay. It was a last minute trip to Winter wonderland so didnt have many options without travelling more.

Great location, but the room was TINY, not worth 850 CAD for two nights—the hot water was variable, the bathroom so narrow you could barely sit on the toilet, and the overall feel was quite shabby. Not very soundproof to other units. No fridge or storage space really and the TV on an angled wall that was not easy to see from any area of the room. Four beds but only two chairs and two cups for coffee.

Perfect for budget 2 nights exploring city

Staff were great. Very clean on the whole (pile of the last customers dirty washing was left on bedroom floor). Property does need some renovations and things shabby or broken such as tiles, toilet seat, shower tray but its kept clean. Amazing location and beds comfy.

Great rooms, good service, small elevator but not that much of an issue. Everything was very up to date and comfortable for the stay. Its also extremely close to paddington station and many restaurants.

The Edward Hotel was walkable to food and all the entertainment and shops. The room was small but perfect for what we needed for our stay in London. The one downside was that the A/C didn’t work all too well. But we would stay here again.

Room in need of an update and deep clean. Arrived to the hotel after booking, and were told they could not accommodate our booking and were given a room with only two beds (double and single) instead of the three single bed room pictured for the Triple room. Left us in an uncomfortable position as it was a work trip… The staff only offered an extra duvet or a refund to find alternative accommodation at 7pm. The next morning when checking out, we were asked how the night was as and we shrugged it off, but asked again to explain our hesitancy, to be told “the Triple Room booking with three beds is only a request and we can’t keep everyone happy.” Probably should be stated that the Triple Room may be a double and a single. In a convenient position for Paddington Station and Hyde Park. Shower was good, but parts of the tap were missing.

Great little Budget Hotel for Short Stay

Perfect budget hotel. stayed two nights. rooms are a little worn but very clean and serviceable. Extremely nice staff. No real amenities - a great location with a value for money stay. Wouldn't recommend stay with family or for extended stay but for one or two nights just perfect.
