The hotel location was perfect...in the heart of Kensington. Location was very convenient for trains, Uber, cabs and buses. The room accomodation was fair... the carpet was dirty and very soiled. The love seat was also not clean...very worn and could have benefited from a good shampoo. Otherwise, the bathroom was spotless and the breakfast bar was very satisfactory. The staff was friendly especially Ali who worked the Starbucks counter. He was very friendly and demonstrated impeccable customer service skills. I would stay at this location again but will request a room where some.of the amenities are not as worn and soiled.

On check in, my wife and I stood next to each other at the desk,I was greeted and acknowledged, my wife was completey ignored and not referenced or recognised in any way. I was twice asked if I would need one door card or two..there was two of us standing there. It was all a bit clumsy and not very welcoming. I had another interaction with reception shortly after, when we were bombarded with on line offers to upgrade our room to a suite. we decided to accept. When I returned to the desk to facilitate the upgrade, it felt very much like a task to far for the receptionist, again it was more fractious than a celebration. Reception did offer the concierge to pack our bags in the outgoing room to the new room, I explained that we had not unpacked anything and it would be much easier for all, if we just moved the bags ourselves. Reception said they would give me a call when the room was available.. When it came to 1530 and I'd heard nothing, I went back to reception. A new colleague said that we couldnt access our new room as the concierge hadn't yet moved our bags..!! So my original conversation had not been passed on, and I never received the message as offered. Very small points, and easily overlooked in isolation, but added together made us both feel not very welcome, despite having eventually paid for a reasonably expensive room. We avoided reception for the rest of our stay. All other staff we came across at all levels were 10 out of 10. Of note concirege desk, and bkfst chef

General service was very poor, staff basically didn’t know what was going on and a lot of the time don’t speak English very well so very hard to understand. You ask them something and they basically don’t have a clue.

Room was ok but very loud, hear people in rooms adjacent and corridors as well as music downstairs. Bring ear plugs! Lighting in room didn’t work, bedside lamps didn’t work, reading spot lights the same. Location is fantastic.

Hi ,I just wanted to give some quick feedback. When I checked out earlier, the staff member at the desk spoke to me in a very rude manner. I was just asking about luggage storage, it felt unnecessary and it affected my experience, especially on my last day. I wanted you to be aware of it so the hotel can avoid this with future guests.
