We paid for a premium room with a king sized bed, the room was lacking compared to the brochure images, the bed was about the size of a Good double (to say a queen size would be generous) the receptionist, when asked if there was a mistake in the room and bed allocation, informed me that it was an English king size bed (I am English, I own a queen sized bed that is bigger) images can be provided, the stocked fridge contained a tube of Pringles and a chocolate bar, there were no chairs or a table which made room service a bit of a challenge, the breakfast was just passable, all in all we will not be using Holiday Inn again. We suspect we were given this as an alternative to the room we bookend as the welcome message on the TV was in someone else’s name, we were told they were having technical difficulties with the system, we have our doubts about that excuse.
Our next visit we will spend a little bit more for hopefully a nicer hotel.
