The cutting edge of hospitality

A cut foot on one of many exposed bathroom tile edges in central areas of the floor because grouting is missing is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel stay. Private complaint handled badly. That changed my rating from 5* to 1 or 2. Complaints nowadays are treated adversarially, rather than functionally: I wanted it fixed, to be told it was fixed to help others, have reassurance on hygiene and a reasonable apology. I sent photos of the floor. I expected to be told how my complaint would be handled, not ignored for 6 days until prompted further. Otherwise? The hotel’s good, bizarrely. Junior Suite. Fabulously comfortable. Excellent facilities. Huge, comfortable bed in a warm room. Actual arm chairs, not cheap parodies. First floor by a main thoroughfare yet pretty quiet - enough for easy sleep (although soundproofing would help). View decor more as charming rather than dated. Kind reception staff. Bought art at a nearby private gallery. Harrods & Harvey Nichols nearby. Hyde Park a short walk away. Tube in one block. Waitrose on the corner for indulgent treats. Worth staying. But watch your step.

This location was a short walk to the Piccadilly line with food stores and restaurants all around. Clean quiet area and we all felt safe.

Property was overall misrepresented - the was no business center, the restaurant/bar was permanently closed and there was no laundry. All these things were listed on their website including pictures of the bar. Also, absolutely no workspace except the lobby or small area in the room. Rugs needed replacing, showers were stained and gym needed a thorough cleaning.

I had a good time there overall. The TV is very easy and simple to screen share with my phone and I was able to watch TV easily. The biggest problem I had was that I had bought dairy products and and noticed that the fridge was warm and over the next two days, I noticed that my dairy products were completely warm. I called the lobby and when they had someone check, the fridge was not plugged in and because of that, I had lost money and had to throw out my dairy items. However, other than that I had a generally nice experience there overall besides that incident with the refrigerator.

I had to make a last minute reservation at this hotel in the early hours of the morning and I was very well received. Whenever I return to London I will stay at the Park International Hotel. Great hotel with good value and attentive staff. Very well located close to several restaurants and transport links, such as Gloucester Road which is 3 blocks away. Despite being on a busy avenue, the area is very quiet and silent at night.

The room was deceiving from when you book it. I thought we booked a classic hotel, yet our room was like the Comfort Inn. There were birds outside our window that were extremely loud. The windows could use a good cleaning, they were filthy. The concierge was delightful, but the other staff could use some lessons in friendliness.

Disappointed hotel stay

Decided to stay in London instead of outskirts . Expected more from a 4 star hotel . Had much better on the outskirts. Room was dusty with broken light fittings. Cheap wardrobe furniture shower not cleaned. Wall were tawdy and patched up paint work . The only positive I can say is staff But the hotel room and standard of cleanliness was well below what I would expect See photo Surround area great would stop in that area but not this hotel .
