The hotel’s location is its strongest asset—it’s conveniently situated within walking distance of major tourist attractions, restaurants, and public transport. If proximity and walkability are important to you, this place checks that box.
However, there were several downsides. When booking a standard room through Expedia, it was not disclosed that the room would have no window. This was a surprise at check-in and made the room feel quite closed-in and dark. We were told that the only way to get a room with a window was to either pay extra or book directly through the hotel, which felt like a lack of transparency.
We also opted into the hotel’s ecological program, which encourages reduced housekeeping as a sustainability initiative. While we fully support eco-friendly practices, in this case, housekeeping never showed up at all—not even to empty the trash, make the bed, or refresh the towels. When we called to address it, the staff acknowledged the issue but offered no solution or gesture to make up for it.
In addition, the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest, which added to our disappointment. There were noticeable signs that it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival.
All in all, while the location was excellent, the experience didn’t match expectations in terms of service, cleanliness, and booking transparency. We’d likely look elsewhere next time.
