Fine Choice at LHR - But Check the Mattress

This is an older, huge hotel that has been mostly well-maintained. No awards for modern or swank but convenient and quiet given the location. My mistake was to not lay on the bed before 11pm. The mattress was OLD and shaped like a W - so not a great nights sleep. My advice - stay if the price is right but check your mattress upon checkin. And the Hotel Hoppa is very quick getting to the hotel but very slow getting to the airport. It's the first stop being dropped off from the airport but that means waiting many stops going back.... Plan 30 minutes.

Not a terrible stay, but hotel is ageing

Hotel is getting old, facilities (bathroom, bedroom) are showing signs of age and wear. Bath had some permanent stains or marks in. Limescale had built up around the shower head. Shower is also very low, if you are 5’8 or taller the showers won’t reach the top of your head. Beds and pillows very comfortable, the fridge in the room is great, aircon is very noisy, not ideal.
