It is RadissonBlu after all

Excellent location, warm welcome despite arriving early. Efficient and friend staff. Fantastic bed. Furniture was a bit tired, bathroom could have been cleaner and the tea and coffee were awful. However they’re not big things and the hotel is definitely worth a try.

Has potential but not the best.

The room was very cold. The view of the square was ok, my room was right on the side of the hotel and on the 1st floor so not the best view but “ok” I tried to heat the room up but it just didn’t seem to get any warmer the whole stay. The shower setup was ok, the water pressure was quite low. The rooms furnishing and decor were quite outdated and a little tired.

Same room , one year apart

It seems like , in the course of one year, a lot of the luxury perks have been reduced ... from welcome bubbles , to mini bar, to robe in room all being removed.... it feels like the details aren't as well attended to, but... the location and spacious rooms can't be beat

The.room decor and furniture was dated and worn, bed extremely uncomfortable and pillows like marsmellow. Wooden sash windows very drafty and let in lots of people noise throughout the night, delivery drivers could also be heard along with the trucks, front of house has been refurbished but not well planned, sitting in front of the bar was very cold each time one of the main doors was opened, staff ok on reception were ok but bar staff not so

Needs improvement

Despite paying for a king room, the window did not close properly. This meant it was not only freezing all night, but that a fire alarm that was going off in a nearby building kept me awake for most of the evening.

Times Square in our room

Breakfast was very good. The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. The bathroom has a rusty chip on the bathtub. The bathtub floor is stained black and dirty. There are signs of water damage in the bathroom ceiling. Bathroom sink clogged. Turned on the shower in the morning, ran water for 10 mins. Could only get scalding hot or freezing cold. Called front desk, they said to call back later when the engineer was available. I insisted and the friendly manager came to adjust the water temperature. The bed was lumpy. The square view was more like we were on display, almost at street level. We asked for another room they said they were booked up.

We have stayed here before and enjoyed our stay. This time it was very disappointing. We booked a superior room but there was nothing superior about it. The double glazing was inadequate and so there was noise from Leicester Square outside. The bed was small, the room was small, the bath was small, the TV was small. The shower is in the bath and it was hard to climb out with nothing to hold on to at the end of the bath. The room was shabby, the walls were scuffed, the chair legs were scuffed. The USB point by the bed did not work. We like the bar there but unfortunately this wasn’t much better this time. The bar staff were more concerned with cleaning and tidying away than serving, when one bartender did eventually tear himself away he made us feel like we were an inconvenience, taking him away from his work. It was all very disappointing, especially as it was very expensive, even for central London. We won’t be going back again.

Excellent location and hotel

Great hotel, excellent location. Super comfortable room and bed. It’s a little dated and it could use some updates, but overall I do recommend it. Staff was great, very friendly and attentive.
