Disappointing experience.

We had booked a stay a number of weeks before to be told on our arrival no room was available and the hotel was fully booked. Due to a computer error our booking hadn’t been registered apparently. We were transferred to the Marble Arch Radisson, this had no working lifts, we were promised a room on a lower floor but were given the top floor. Overall a disappointing experience with Radisson.

NO AIRCON

informed on arrival that there was no aircon in the hotel. They apologised that this was not mentioned on the website and at booking. This should be made clear aster are lots of other options in London. Also told that there were no fans available as the maintenance person had taken the key to the cupboard. Uncomfortably hot room. Otherwise staff were excellent in bar and restaurant.

Great location! Service was NOT great. The staff was not very friendly or helpful. They don’t greet you. Simple requests like “can you look up my name” or “can I get some extra water” are met with indifference and cold attitude. Housekeeping slams doors all morning long, and barges in without announcing. Their room move process was terribly frictional. AND they don’t post it anywhere but there was no AC in our room because the hotel is under construction. Overall the stay was not restful, and it seemed like the team onsite could not care less about being helpful or treating their guests like human beings.

A disappointing stay

I arrived to check in at the hotel to discover that the air conditioning was broken, to which I was asked 'is this okay?'. I didn't have much choice at that point as I was checking in later in the evening. It was stated that 'you can open the windows', well that's all well and good, but you are then exposed to the street noise, which due to the admittedly excellent location of this hotel, was significant. So it was a choice of being comfortable or quiet. Not ideal and I think shameful of the hotel not to contact guests at the earliest opportunity, prior to check-in, to inform them of this and offer a refund should that not be suitable. Very poor customer service in this regard. Pros: -Excellent location -Comfortable Bed -Breakfast is very good -Very clean hotel and room Cons: -Customer service was sub-optimal -The room had significant wear/tear -Poor value for money This experience would certainly stop me staying at this location again, and likely the entire radisson brand. When you're paying that sort of money, you have a lot of choice.

A lousy welcome and no A/C

Firstly the receptionist sighed when it was my turn to check in as if to say “great, another bloody customer” Then told there was no A/C in my room. I had specifically selected this hotel as I wear a CPAC machine and need A/C on stuffy warm nights. She then said she had a room with a portable A/C unit I could have. It was very noisy and as it has a vent pipe out the window I heard all the street noise so slept terribly.
