When I booked, the website said double or two twin beds. When I checked in, they said only a double bed was available. The front desk person named Madhu was very gracious and accommodating and solved the issue by giving us two single rooms. Great solution. The rooms were tiny and OK. Mine had a huge dodgy stain on the carpet. My friend ‘s had no refrigerator. Great location though.

Air conditioning too cold and would not turn off

The room was ok but the air conditioning was cold and could not be turned off. We complained to reception and were told maintenance would look into it but nothing happened so had 2 very cold days. The rest of the hotel was warm so clearly something wrong with the room system.

Confusion on both check in and check out, but I won't dwell on that as everything else was excellent. Cecilia at breakfast is brilliant, so welcoming! Breakfast good. Location excellent. Room lovely- bed really comfortable, quiet hotel and I love a bath.

Paid £350 for a ‘family room’. It was small and dated. Given a sofa bed which was wonky, squeaked like hell and could feel springs. Mattress topper on double bed (would have expected a decent mattress in the first place). Smallest bathroom I’ve ever seen. I know it’s London and location is premium but this was not good value.

Staff was friendly but did not explain clearly how to ensure all lights would be in use (there is a key cards port that must be used). The room itself was acceptable, but in disrepair. The shades were not functional and half falling off. The shower doors were not functional and finishes need to be updated. The area around the hotel is the best part of the hotel. Walkable, near tourist sites, but also easy access to bus and tube lines to get you anywhere else in the city, including direct line for LHR.

Small dingy room - A/C was noisy but had to use as room was hot. Hall areas behind the flashy front areas need both a good clean and some maintenance Would not use again. I forgot how bad and expensive London hotels are compared to Asia and Europe.
