Just wanted a bed and shower in a great location. Perfect! Minutes away from Euston and St Pancras. Plenty of cafes and restaurants. It was very good value for money. Staff are very helpful.

We enjoyed our stay. The property was easy walking distance to King’s Cross and other tube stations. It was also 25-30 minutes (including walk to station) to sites in any direction. Be aware that rooms are smaller and they offer shared bathrooms, but it was a safe, clean place for us to rest our wary bodies at the end of a full day of activities.

The hotel is old and it wasn’t what we expected. The rooms are small, the mattress on the bed is about 4 inches high, we were afraid to sit in the chair as it looked like it would fall apart, parts of the carpet was unraveled, the bathroom was not cleaned very well. There was mold around the soap dish, drain and sides of sink. The toilet is inside the shower, there is a step up of 6-8 inches to get into bathroom. They didn’t seem to like that we wanted clean towels each day and you can only have two (I like an extra for my hair) but when you take a shower you need to use your towel to wipe up the water so you can use the toilet, unless you like wet feet. You get a room key but have to ring a buzzer to be let into the hotel. They also don’t want you to take drinks in your room. You don’t have any way of controlling the temperature in your room, we requested and was able to get a fan. We chose this hotel as it had gotten good reviews and is close to the tube and Eurostar station. If I had it to do over I wouldn’t have chosen this hotel. It definitely is very dated and needs newer and better furniture and a deep clean in rooms and bathrooms.

Whenever I went to the washroom, it was clean and organized. The staff was nice. You can get there from the Heathrow Airport by only the Piccadilly Line. The hotel must have been full, but I heard nothing from other rooms as if there was by myself in the hotel. It was really quiet. They don't have AC, but the temperature was comfortable while my visit in the middle of October.

The location on Tavistock Place in Bloomsbury is convenient to the British Museum, Tottenham Court Road, Kings Cross Station, and the rest of the West End. There is no shortage of hotels in the area, at nearly any price imaginable. The ground floor room would not have been my choice, but for two nights in central London I can't complain too much, and the room was small but suitable. The tiny TV perched up in a corner, however, seemed more like a curious afterthought than an amenity.

Small hotel in funky neighborhood. Close to train. No front door key (buzz staff to be let in. Surly bloke in office seemed to resent having to answer and fling open the door with attitude - simple solution: give guests a key). Small basic room at top of steep narrow staircase, no lift. Older furniture, no A/C, fridge, luggage racks, milk, or water. Shower area and water stream barley large enough to be usable. Water temp idiosyncratic. Would I stay here again? No.

They try to keep the hotel clean but understand that it's a very old building. Very minimalistic plan for everything. Jail cells may have more space than these hotel rooms. There is not enough space for your luggages. Two person can not move inside the room at the same time in a 3 persons room. Probably alright if you just want a bed to sleep for a high price.
