At checking I was told that I had to do a flight of stairs because one of the lift was out of service and the room was on the side without the working lift. I was just recovering from knee surgery so I asked for a room on a floor with a lift, the reception told me I had to upgrade to a better room and pay for it so I told them as I hadn’t been advised o wasn’t prepared to pay extra for it. Eventually the receptionist swapped a reservation they had a managed to give me the same room I booked on a floor with a lift. I also had a problem with room service, we ordered two pots of tea, one chamomile tea and one traditional English tea. The person in room service didn’t understand what a chamomile tea was and tried to send a plate of calamari! So I called reception and explained what I wanted. 15 minutes later someone from room service knocked at the door and handed me a little bag with different tea bags explaining they didn’t have chamomile tea. So I said it was ok but I still needed the two pots of hot water and cups to make the tea. The lady entered the room and pointed at two mugs that were in the room, I explained I needed the pots with hot water, anyway she didn’t understand and she left. So I called reception again and eventually they managed to send someone with two pots of tea. The whole experience took an hour!

The hotel is located right next to Victoria Station, making it incredibly convenient for travel. The room was very comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. It’s also within walking distance to many of the main attractions, which made sightseeing easy and enjoyable. Overall, a great choice for anyone looking to stay in a central location with easy access to transportation and nearby landmarks.

Great hotel, great service. The only two things keeping it from a perfect score were that the elevators were frequently getting stuck or going out of service and the rooms were very small, which is pretty standard in Europe.

Excellent Location

Came to London on a whim for my son’s spring break from university. The Clermont Victoria was the perfect location. Walking distance to almost all the sights we wanted to see. The hotel was elegant, quiet, clean and the staff was fantastic, even giving us an early check in when we arrived.

The concierge staff were very helpful with our questions. Diana helped give advice on additional activities on our last day. The hotel is so convenient to Westminster attractions as well as tube and bus transportation. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family as well as first timers to London.
