If you are physically fit you will have no problems at this hotel. As a senior citizen I had difficulty with this hotel. It is attached to the Charing Cross train station and the area outside the hotel is paved with cobble stones which make it virtually impossible to wheel your luggage. There is no doorman. We were not offered any help in moving our luggage from check in to our rooms. On the plus side, our room was very spacious. On arrival our room was stocked with snacks and drinks. It was only restocked once during our stay. In checking the bathroom there was a razor cover on the floor so I don't know how thorough the room was cleaned. Had to call to have the room serviced even though we flipped the switch to have the room serviced. Almost every evening we had to call down for either bathroom tissue, fresh towels or water. While we were there we were notified that there would be a fire drill and to ignore it. The fire drill happened and approx. an hour later the fire drill went off again. After walking down over two flights of stairs we were told we could go back to our rooms. When we arrived only one elevator worked (no service elevator). After the fire drill there were no working elevators in the building. Everyone had to go up and down flights of stairs for over 24 hours. Because of the central location demonstrations are held in the front of the building and the street is closed to vehicular traffic. NOT A GOOD CHOICE IF YOU HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES.

Truly a great location. However lifts were out of service. One lift was available but extremely slow. Thankfully we were only on floor 2 and resorted to the stairs. Area outside of hotel turns into a large gathering area for transients and homeless. Cleaned every night but trash strewed about. Very noisy from restaurant early music and underground rail station. Concierge seemed never available when we needed assistance. In meetings.

We had 2 nights in London on our way home to Australia. The hotel was recommended to us for its proximity to Charring Cross railway station enabling any easy public transport departure to Heathrow and many of London attractions were within easy walking distance. The room was quiet ( a request I had made) and our king bed very comfortable Mini bar inclusions were appreciated.

The hotel had only one functioning elevator and during our stay that one elevator broke down and took two days to be fixed. We had to climb up and down four floors several times a day. This is utterly unacceptable. Apart from that, our minibar was complementary (nice), but the water bottles that we used were never replenished unless we called to request additional bottles.

Nice location

Elevators not operating. When in service only one for the whole hotel. Room cleaning occurred very late in the day - inconvenient. Very tricky going from one side of the hotel to the other. Staff was very nice.

The hotel had one slow working elevator that we shared with the service people transporting towels and bedsheets up and down. The people doing the check in were not too friendly and the concierge was the same. Our room, despite being “premium with a king size bed was small and crooked, the TV was old and not even HD. The shower area was clogged and the towels were old. Not what you would expect for the price we paid. During our 4 night stay, the bathrooms in the foyer area were out of commission and never fixed. It really felt like nobody cared how the hotel was run. However, the location is excellent near everything that is worth visiting. Quite disappointed.
