First time staying in the hotel. Very central and convenient. Walking distance to Covent Garden. Short distance from the train stations that leads to other parts of connecting trains in the network. Lots of eateries around the area and easy to walk to China town, Piccadilly Circus, Soho, Oxford street.
Enjoyed the porters - Antony is great! The outlet in the bathroom did not work which would have been appreciated. The sustainability option was used on the door for no cleaning but then staff still came in unexpectedly and didn’t love that. We would have put our belongings away had we known staff would enter.
This is a nice hotel in a happening part of west London in the middle of the theatre district. It’s not a grand hotel by any stretch, but is perfectly adequate if traveling on a budget.
The one thing that I was VERY impressed about was how cordial and accommodating the hotel staff was.
With only 1 exception, I was treated exceptionally by all of the staff there.
The sole exception was on my first day I wanted to start my day off with a couple cups of coffee. I went down to the restaurant right off the lobby and asked to be served. I was told that since I hadn’t signed up for the “daily breakfast” deal that costs £15 if paid in advance I wound not be served coffee unless I paid £20 at that time. I was somewhat surprised by that, and for the price of a couple cups of coffee, which I’d have gladly paid, I was left with the sole reason to ding the hotel on the hospitality side of this review.
The great thing however is it forced me to discover Frankie and Benny’s just down the street, and I was able to buy great coffee there and treated with great hospitality by their staff.
I’m always surprised how a good hotel can do such a great job in every regard, but fall short on something as silly as morning coffee.
I hope that the hotel can revisit how that restaurant serves its hotel customers by being a little more accommodating to the needs of its guests.
Other than that, it’s a perfectly fine hotel.
Likely the smallest hotel room I ever stayed in. But the room size does not do just to the excellence of the room and the hotel. I booked likely the cheapest room of the hotel, so all other rooms must be larger. Still my small room felt very adequate - all the amenities were great. The bathroom was large and functional. Everything in the room just worked: the light switches were in the right places, for example. The shower was powerful. The provided toiletries like soap, shampoo were excellent. Quality is the feeling I was left with. Staff were great. Luggage store, pre-checkin, was very helpful. Hope to return to this hotel some day.
Great stay, very central location for London. My second stay here. Highly recommended. I added one night and they made adjustments with booking so I can stay at my room which actually a free upgrade from what I booked for that extra one night. Thank you for that! Mary at reception was very helpful and kind. Mohammed is amazing, I heard he has been with the hotel the longest. But, everyone there amazing, helpful and kind
Everyone was very helpful and did whatever they could to make it pleasant. All were also very courteous and went out of their way to please us and accommodate us.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
I loved the hotel, and I loved my room. The big exception was that when I checked in my room absolutely reeked of either air freshener or some cleaning product. Since I couldn't open the windows, I cranked the fan up as high as it would go, but for a while the air was practically unbreathable. If it was air freshener, I recommend not using it. And if a cleaning product, something milder and more eco-friendly would be a big improvement.
