This hotel is in a brilliant spot right by Tower Bridge, but it is clear they are relying on the location rather than providing a genuine four star experience. The room was extremely cramped, and the heating was a plug in wall radiator that, frankly, felt like a fire risk. If we had not been so jet lagged when we arrived, we would have left the same day. We cancelled the rest of our stay and moved elsewhere because we did not feel safe. It is a real shame, especially given the location.

While the rooms decor is old and the bathrolms could do with a refresh, the locations is just perfect and the price we got was great. Breakfast was actually good and the late checkout fee was honest and the concierge service to leave your luggage was free.

Arrived late evening after being at conference to be told the hotel was overbooked and I would need to be moved to another hotel - 30mins away in a taxi. Attitude on reception was ‘indifferent’ to say the least. Was advised that a taxi would be provided the following morning at 8am to take me back to London Bridge where my conference was. Safe to say, no taxi was organised for 8am and I was told it would take them 30 minutes to get one. This would mean being late for the start of the conference. So, I’m now £35 down after having to flag a taxi down, and no the wiser as to why a hotel would ‘over book’. Poor, really poor!

Although the view was wonderful the room looked tired. The staff were helpful, but the cooked breakfast dishes seemed to have had the salt cellar emptied into them and I couldn't eat more than a mouthful.

Disappointing quality. The whole hotel needs a revamp. The only reason it’s 4 stars is because of the view. Otherwise the are big signs of wear and tear. All the furniture is old, bottom of the doors are chipped away, bathtub has stains from being so old, limescale on the shower head (I understand London has hard water, but that can still be corrected), stains on carpet and walls, air conditioning/ heating didn’t work. Other than that, the staff were great.

Room was ok but door bolt was broken, the door latch kept sticking so I couldn't close the door and walk away I had to fiddle with the latch and the towel warmer did not work. That said the staff were amazing, helpful and very polite
