After 30~ hours of transit from Australia to London, the staff were very welcoming and let us check in quite early, and comped us breakfast to aid in our getting into town. The property was very spacious and welcoming. If we ever are in this area again, we will endeavour to stay here
The pictures that we found online did not do justice to the breakfast that they served; if I had known that they provided a whole english breakfast everyday, I would have opted for it, rather than pay the higher price.
The hotel is well located for our travel purposes.
a quaint property very convenient to the Underground and amazingly situated near the British Museum.
The bar area was very nice and the staff was friendly. Rooms were small but tidy and had everything you needed.
Decent hotel, very central and excellent for West end.
Comfortable bed and room.
Only issue was couldn't turn shower cooler in the evening, then next morning no hot water.
Great situation in Central London. Very convenient for the British Museum and Covent Garden. Superb breakfast. Rooms plenty big enough and well appointed. Staff helpful.
Friendly, welcoming & accommodating staff, the room was generally clean however the bathroom could have done with a little more attention, big comfortable bed in the executive room, quiet internally but a bit of road noise for usual London traffic, however we were on the corner at the front of the hotel. Breakfast was buffet but well priced & well catered for. Hotel was able to store our luggage while we attended a stage show, we could collect much later on that evening despite checking out earlier that same day, all for no extra charge. A lovely experience all things considered, we will likely be back.

Upon arrival, one of the rooms we had book wasn’t ready for checking into. There was no apology for this. We also opted in for a room upgrade but completely understood that this may or may not happen. The one room that was ready could upgrade to then be told that we couldn’t as it wasn’t ready. We were told it would be two hours before that room was ready but we had dinner and a show so left it.
Once in the room, it was quite a nice set up actually. However, you could feel every spring in the sofa bed which caused an uncomfortable nights sleep. The sides were also covered in dust. The room felt rather cold. The bathroom facilities were fine but the towel rail didn’t seem to work. The lift also seemed temperamental. It regularly said a warning about how it was overloaded. I fail to see how myself and one adult equates to 450KGs. There were multiple families offended by this. It also makes matters worse when the cleaning staff are using it during peak times which means that there’s delays and constant overloading messages.
Upon checking out, I was told I owed money for an upgrade. I refused because we never had the upgrade. I was asked how our stay was and I said ok but there were things that wasn’t great. No apology. No discussion.
Overall, it felt like we weren’t wanted or welcome. A real shame because I’ve stayed twice before and had a good stay. However, the lack of customer service and the poor room meant that I won’t be returning.
A smart hotel with comfy rooms.. good breakfast… polite staff. Excellent location for tubes and access to theatres. Second stay and definitely stay again.
