The people at reception were terrible. 5 Rooms booked in my name as that is the only way you would accept my credit card. I went to reception last week to give the names of all my guests ,dates etc. every guest was sent your confirmation. Then two of the guests arrived directly from Australia and after a long flight were left standing in reception,refused admission to the room and I had to then email to give permission then once again emailed with details of all the rooms and all the guests, arrivals etc. everyone had difficulty checking in and the last couple to check in were not allowed to have a room until they paid - for a room I had already paid for. Absolute disgrace

It feels like it's being run by an entire crew of staff who have never done this job before. The restaurant was closed for a private function, which left only the bar and you have.The bar is two tables. At best, I can call it a joke. Television service was down and they couldn't fix it.Two nights in a row. The finishes are fabulous.It presents well, but overall it's a terrible design that was not thought out properly.And the rooms are entirely too small.For what they're trying to squeeze into them. Having to travel down a flight of stairs, then up a flight of stairs.Just to get to an elevator to get me to the second floor is ridiculous.

Everyone was kind, courteous and very helpful. My room was always clean, there was plenty of coffee and my burger was delicious.

I originally reserved family room and then I upgraded to 1 bedroom apartment which I thought would have more room it was very small , located in basement and was musky smellingI went back to be moved to family room which was also very small . Some of staff were good but others didn’t make me feel welcomed . My next visit to London I wouldn’t chose to stay at the Wellington

I almost cancelled our booking after reading some mixed reviews online. Im so glad i didnt. The hotel is in an excellent quiet location, within a 5-10 minute walk from Westminster Abbey and close to Victoria station. The layout of the hotel is a bit different but thats also due to the age of the property. We had a deluxe king room which wed chosen as the queen rooms look very small and this was spacious and lovely. The bathrooms on the small size and no fan but towels replaced daily during our stay as well as bottled water. The fridge is a great addition. The bed is 2 singles together, we didnt find it a big ossue but some might. We ate at the Tiffin Tree which is an indian restaurant linked to the hotel and the food was excellent and well priced. Id absolutely stay again and would recommend to others.
