Friendly staff, incredible views, decent breakfast included. Offbeat location but very close to Midtown via subway. They provide a semi reliable shuttle serice to a subway station only 1 stop away from Grand Central but you would be better off learning the area and walking to Metro. If you take the shuttle it lets you off in a trendy Manhattanesque area of Long Island City with good restaurants and riverfront views withNYC Ferry access. If you walk to Metro from the hotel it takes 10-15 minutes.
