We stayed for a quick, last minute trip. There was a parking garage, the hotel and room was clean, and the staff was friendly. It was also very quiet. The location is also conveniently close to LaGuardia. We didn't get the chance to stay late enough for the breakfast, but I would definitely stay again.

Perhaps it was our mood, perhaps it was a comparison to the last time we stayed in a mid-price range motel in Queens, just 3 months ago. We were quite pleased with the Adria. Yes, the hotel is dated, but it had: plenty of conveniently placed electric outlets; good lighting, comfortable chairs, beds that everyone in our party found excellent. PLENTY of free parking! Twice I called the hotel, once before our stay, once during. I got a real, live, on the property person who knew the answers. A great non-chain place to stay, and we look forward to return visits. The self-serve breakfast was generic but tastier. Pastries and excellent (you-make waffles.) The scrambled eggs. Just no, but that's me.

We chose this hotel based on the good reviews I read here and I was satisfied. It was clean, quiet, and had a good breakfast. We were made to feel very welcome. We had a slight heat issue due to the heat lamp in the bathroom, but it was our fault, and they came to fix it very quickly. Yes, the carpet is old, but at least it's clean. It's also very well located for seeing the Islanders at the UBS Arena.

Rundown

It is a very outdated hotel. The parking was very difficult and small. Rooms are run down and need maintenance. They just have trash cans at the end of the hallway for you to put your trash in, but they aren't even covered.

This is a decent property. The best attraction in NYC is the free parking. The A/C unit did not work well, so they have some work to do, but the place was spotless.
