We requested for room makeover at 9am (before we leave for our activity). We didn’t not hang any “Do Not Disturb” signs or etc. We informed the cleaning staff who we saw at our level and also the Reception (before we leave the hotel). The cleaning staff said she wasn’t in charge of our wing but she will relay to her colleagues. Reception lady said “not to worry, the cleaning staff will know what to do”. When we came back at 1.15pm, room was not done. It seemed that no information was relayed to the cleaning team. Unfortunately, the team completed the entire level without doing our room. Staff did apologized, so that was good. In addition, breakfast could be better organized by not mixing the lamb sausages with pork sausages in same hot tray. Likewise any meats vs pork for that matter. So that more guests would be able to enjoy the meats.

The property feels quite aged and could use some maintenance. The EV charging station was not operational, which was inconvenient. Rooms are on the smaller side, and the bathrooms need a more thorough clean. On the positive side, the pool is nicely heated and enjoyable, though only one spa jet was working. Families will appreciate the good children’s playroom, which is a highlight.

Great location, it's right next to the living Maori village. We were lucky to have a 5th floor room facing the village so we saw a great Lazer show 1 night. We would definitely stay again. The pool and hot tubs were nice the pool is really warm which we liked. The room itself is really nice but the balcony couldn't be used because of something with a code violation, but they gave us 2 dinner vouchers because of it and overall liked the buffet.

We picked this hotel for its location as we were doing the Whakarewarewa cultural tour which was right across the road from the hotel and also there is a mountain bike hire place right across the road so it was very convenient for us. The staff were helpful and friendly and the restaurant was great for dinner or a quick snack for lunch. Plenty of car parking and it was free. Would definitely stay there again

It was difficult to get any hot water, so no showers. The staff was less than helpful with information about the area. The door to the balcony was locked, which prevented us from getting any ventilation in the room (too hot for sleeping at night). It had a sign indicating global safety reasons…we have never seen this in any hotel room, cruise ship or apartment rental in any part of the world, including the hotel that we are in at the moment, in New Zealand! The prices for the food in the buffet were outrageously high. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I booked two king bed with thermal park view but the staff was mistakenly gave one with lower grade room with no view room. I did not exchange due to luggage already at the room! We went to breakfast and was crowded with people. The staff did not check if my room included breakfast ( we booked without breakfast). We finished and left the restaurant and only notified the front desk of our consumption at checkout. This hotel is really busy due to tour visitors and the services is lagging behind the expectation.

Stayed two nights at this property and felt so spoiled. When booked a room that overlooked a nautical geothermal area and it was so cool to see that from the bedroom window!! Staff was f’very friendly and nice. The pool was amazing! Super warm geo thermally heated outdoor pool it was the best part of the hotel stay and we were in it as much as possible. Facility is clean, room was nice and well kept. Bed was comfortable. They have complimentary tea and espresso in the room as well , definitely recommend staying here when in Rotorua
