Cheap Hotels in Shearer Hills - Ridgeview

The weather did not cooperate during our visit but the villa, lazy river, and pools were wonderful when we were able to use. I would skip eating at the restaurant on the resort site. We witnessed an elderly couple wait over 30 minutes to order food & we waited as long for refills of water. 4 people over $120.00 for not great food. Pass and go in town for dinner or lunch.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! The pictures online look NOTHING like in person! Originally was supposed to stay 3 nights, the first night was SO NOISY!!! And the room they had us in was in an outside like walkway made of fake cobblestone. Which meant when housekeeping would push their carts it sound like a bunch of loud rattling! We were SO EXHAUSTED from the lack of sleep! We woke up the next morning and checked out EARLY!!! Well before the check out time even! There was even a couple at the desk who were cancelling their reservation bc they came to scope out the place beforehand! We were refunded the very last night’s stay THATS IT! That was insane! We should’ve been refunded for 2 nights since we were gone WELL BEFORE CHECKOUT TIME! Worst place to stay! Definitely a 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

The Valencia was the perfect river walk hotel,...the staff was friendly and helpful, the room clean and very spacious, the architecture beautiful, it was close to all the amenities And it was reasonably priced.

3 Emails sent some in advance leading to my arrival, none answered. Menger Site, Facebook, and Hotels.com, and stopped by the desk to try to achieve the best room at the best rate I could for something potentially a bit more. Instead one read message not responded to, the other two no response and the desk when I arrived no help. Hotel is nice and a great historical beauty. The grounds were nice and kept well, pool was very nice , didn't seem heated so very chilly, valet was prompt courteous, helpful and speedy. Shops that rent on the outer parts of the hotel were nice and people nice there too. Great area to be convenient and price was very good. They claim to have a great rate with extra perks if booking through hotel and that was not the best deal and the one with the perk was significantly higher so they must really like their secondary market sellers better than giving the customer a deal. No receipt printed at check out due to bad printer and the promise of the emailed receipt never arrived. It was pay at the hotel and not convinced I was not overcharged. I may return but the ways to communicate with the hotel did fail miserably and if I had the time I would have called. The trip was enjoyable, but a room next to the elevator couldn't have been worse with the thin walls. The view was to a gravel roof with a stretch I could see the courtyard. Others parise them but for a hotel with this rating I feel the accomodations I asked and was will to pay and upcharge were ignored
