I’m a single woman traveler and I do not think I would like to walk after 9pm around the area as there are already people who are starting to get intoxicated and also loud.

Hotel was in a convenient location -- minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku. Loved that the bedroom and bathroom was very spacious. Our room had enough space for our two checked-in luggages and two carry-on luggages. The hotel offered complimentary toiletries at the lobby area and provided us with two water bottles whenever they entered our room. I would recommend this hotel!

Location wise it’s a great location close to Shinjuku station, but one thing need to be understood about it is located in Kabukicho, it will be very crowded at night. Comfortable and clean hotel, although they are eco friendly cleaning hotel, they also offer swapping towels everyday. Room can fit one large suitcase with a stand provided, you can absolutely open up wide the suitcase. Bed is comfortable and fit for 2 person for sure.

We had a great stay at Villa Fontaine. Very centrally located with attentive staff. The room is small, as to be expected in Tokyo, but the beds were comfortable and the room was dark. The bathroom was nice as well!

This was our second trip to Japan and out of 4 different hotels, this one is pretty par for the course. Small style room but functional. I was happy to have a queen size bed. The shower was a wet room with a door separated from the sink and toilet- I really liked that. The hotel staff dropped hospitality bags off at our door every day that contained new towels, robes, slippers, etc. and they did it so much that we had a room full of these bags by the time we left lol. I wasn't sure about the area around based on reviews. I am a light sleeper and was afraid of the noise but there was none. I heard no people or sirens throughout the night. There were call girls but I did not feel unsafe at any point. I am a 30 year old woman and I would feel very safe walking around the area at night alone. Just like anywhere else in the major cities of Japan, it is very walkable. It is right across the street from 711 and several restaurants. I would recommend this stay to anyone who wants a clean, safe, nice place to sleep for a decent price.

Our room was on the 2nd floor but it was still super quiet. I couldn’t even hear the police sirens at all and this was at the heart of Kabukicho. Speaking of which, although it’s in the midst of the chaos and high traffic area, the hotel still felt very safe with polite staff that always greeted and bowed to us nicely whenever we walked by the lobby. Their washroom was extraordinarily large
