I was really disappointed with my recent stay at the Holiday Inn with my family. The room wasn’t serviced properly — the hand wash was empty, the cups and coffee weren’t replenished, the bins weren’t emptied, and the beds weren’t made. For a hotel of this standard, I expected basic housekeeping to be consistent each day. Unfortunately, the lack of attention to detail made the stay far less comfortable than it should have been. Such a shame as the hotel itself looks great and good location. Close to transport, local restaurants and supermarket. The desk staff did refund the city tax payment as a gesture of goodwill, which although appreciated felt like the least they could do.

I stayed here with some friends and for a group of three of us the room was really spacious which we really liked. However the hotel is very masculine and the lighting is quite dim, the masculinity also seems to be present in the brutalist architecture and decoration of the rooms. The room was clean however was quite dusty. The hotel is a great place to stay in terms of being able to get to the Amsterdam central easily, the bus stop is a 5 ish mins walk away and there is also tram options too. I am happy with my stay at the niu.

We enjoyed the quiet location and easy walk to the bus stop into Amsterdam Central. The hotel breakfast was lovely and the staff very helpful and pleasant.

Descent stay

No microwave isn't great or at least a publically availabe one in the lobby would be better. Otherwise, it's surprisingly convenient and located in a safe and quiet area.
