Excellent room system. AC unit did not hang from a window but was outside on the lanai with hoses running into the room and then diffused. Very quiet and very efficient.

Room was great, amenities, staff, pool/beach were all awesome. The location was perfect, centrally located between north and south shore and getting to enjoy Kapa’a. We loved our stay and were bummed to have to leave.

Whether you’re spending a few nights before exploring the island or staying for a full week of rejuvenation, the Royal Sonesta balances resort luxury with local charm perfectly. Highly recommended for couples, families, or anyone seeking a classic Kauai experience with top-tier comfort and friendly service. I’ll definitely be returning.

The property was clean and modern with well maintained rooms. The beds were very comfortable. The attention to detail of the hosts is exceptional. There is nothing the hosts have not thought about. The property has good privacy and close access to Shipwreck Beach. Poipu Beach is a walk of about 1 mile away that you can access via a pathway behind the property.
